681B22DA-BE71-4387-9D0E-F78AC37D0392.jpeg does this seem right? Seems a little high for highway cruising in 70 degree weather.

Don't worry about the transmission temp unless it starts to exceed the coolant temperature.

I did and oil change on it for the first time last week. The oil looked like **** that came out of it. I switched to mobile one and used a mopar filter this time. And what a stupid placement for the oil filter.

On my motorcycles I had conventional oil at first and like you the oil looked like **** after a oil change.. When to 100% synthetic and first oil change was not as bad as conventional then each change looked better. almost to the point on saying why change now lol.. Even with 100% synesthetic I still change truck and bikes at 5k. You will see the difference next change. Synthetic has better thermal break down and carbons less..
YMMV

I’ll check later. All oil changes were done at dealership prior to this one. I changed it this time 100 miles before the sticker the dealership put in the windshield. Oil change meter was still at 29% when I changed it yesterday.

My 2017 Ram 3.6L is the same. I've driven in 92F+ degree days and had coolant temps well into the 220s and trans temps around 210-212.

I've read that the danger zone for trans temp for the 8spd is 240+

In regards to engine oil, when I did my first oil change I had about 7500mi on the dealer installed (unknown) oil. What drained didn't look bad at all. This was with a made in China oil filter element. My truck was bought used with 12K miles on it.

I put in Napa full synthetic 5w20 and a Napa gold filter.
