2023 hemi etorque battery voltage.

Picked up my new 2023 1500 etorque yesterday. Driving home the gauge showed battery voltage at 12.7 volts. The 2019 non etorque that I traded in always showed battery voltage at 14+. Haven't been a mechanic for a few years but always judged a fully charged 12v battery at 13v +. Anyone tell me if 12.7 volte is typical for the etorque system? No codes or messages displayed on my drive home.

My 2023 drops to 12.8 sometimes when stopped at lights and it shuts down. But most of the time it stays around 13.7-13.8. I thought maybe when the generator was not turning maybe the inverter lowered the output to the system to 12.8 but I haven’t seen any repeatable pattern or logic to it.

I noticed that the first week I had my ‘22. The fuel saving gods decided the battery doesn’t need to be charged continuously at 14.2v like in the past. If you set your evic to watch battery voltage you will see it vary between 12.7 and 14.2ish as you drive. You’ll be fine.
