@DamnRam1500. Thanks for the thorough explanation. Clears it up for me.

@DamnRam1500 In all my yapping, I forgot to ask what you set your Bilsteins to. Did you go 1.4?
I think so, I set them where the instructions said to set them for oem bumpers. I think it’s third from the bottom maybe? I almost set them higher but I doubt I’m getting a heavy duty bumper any time soon.
How much rake did that leave you?
every truck is different with the variations these trucks have. You’ll need before measurements to compare. What leveled one guys truck make leave you with a rake.
True but this lift has a specific setup beyond the usual “you choose your notch” approach to 5100s. One with HD bumper. One oem. It’s a pretty good indicator of how it will turn out even if there is variance between machines. Besides, I know my RTT setup is adding close to 180 lbs to the rear so I will have less height back there already. But like I said... it’s all just ballpark for what mine will look like once installed. If he has at least an inch of rake I should be ok and not need a rear spacer. But that is best guess until install day.

That’s awesome congratulations!
i was holding my breath waiting for an email that said they had no more. We’re there surprisingly few boxes? I could see them delivered today but they looked like only a few on the door camera.
Should be 5 boxes but check for every single part. My kit was missing a bracket and a tie rod end and David at AEV sent me new ones.
Mine was one for the skid plate, one for the struts and shocks, one for the knuckles, one for the front and rear parts kits.
Right on. I see 6 boxes listed since I got a switch pod. Got it today. Lift must be tomorrow.
did you install a new sway bar like the Hellwig 7709? Seriously considering since my RTT adds almost 180 lbs at roof line. Getting a little sway these days.
I did not add anything that isn’t in the kit. So far my biggest complaint is the rear end feels like it sways a lot when driving on uneven roads or curvy roads. Makes my wife wicked motion sick.
Im still planning on adding the Tuf Truk toeing springs so maybe that will stiffen it up some. Either that or maybe a different rear sway bar?
The rear sway bar is the ticket. $250-280 and super easy install. Stock sway bar is just too flexible. If you have sway now, I’m gonna have a lot of it. That 180 lbs on my bed is noticeable now. I’m betting I have that ordered within a week of the lift install.
That would be perfect. Who makes it or sells it?
