When I put led reverse lights in I used diode dynamic bulbs; they were plug and play with no changes needed to avoid error messages.

I still can't figure out how to get the global down set up. I searched in alfaobd but couldn't find anything for my 2012 ram 2500 is it worded different? Also is it possible that my truck might have a factory theft alarm that I could activate to. If so how?

This Thread is specific to 2013 and up while some of the changes may apply to earlier years. There's another thread somewhere withAlfaOBD information about the 2012 and earlier models. Use the search engine here it's a wonderful tool

If I'm not mistaken it's not where you'd think it would be. I think it's under 3rd gen if memory serves.

Yea I have a set of lights that has leds built in and want to set up so I don’t get any errors as I can’t change the bulbs...... I just am not well versed in the Alfa obd operation

I need some help from some more experienced users.

Forum newbie here. I am reasonably acquainted with the alfaOBD software. But my friend has a 2018 Ram 1500 tradesman. He has an old style cut key to start his truck with, but it appears that his truck is capable of accepting key fobs. He has the receiver module behind his back seats and his ignition slot accepts fobs as well. I just can't get the key fob to program. He has the pin number from the dealership for his truck. But the truck isn't recognizing that it can recognize key fobs. from the looks of the installed Hardware he should be able to but I don't think the sales code on the truck has been activated. What menu system do I have to go to to find that feature and activated? I will post some pictures of his setup and what AlfaOBD is telling me.

All you need to do is connect to the BCM and set VehConfig 3 RKE system present to YES. Then connect to the rf hub, use the PIN to reset the hub. Then, still connected to the RF Hub, select program ignition fobiks baseline, and use the PIN to program the fobs.

Thank you. The RKE system was the point that I was missing. I will give it a try.

Also

Fog lamps with high beams
Fog lamp dropout enable
Select "No"

this may be a dumb question but brand new to alpha just bought it today. am I able to do this with plain power mirrors even if I don't have memory mirrors? 18 2500 tradesman
