battery light

hi to all having two intermiten problems with my 2012 Ram 1500 5.7 hemi first when i start the engine the battery light comes on if i turn the engine off and restart the the light goes off and will stay off for a long time 2to3 weeks and will do it again the battery checks out ok also the alt. what can it be . the other problem is whe i try to start the engine it just clicks if i move the shift lever up or down it will start and not do it for a ling time ,can it be the neutral safety switch or ignition switch your help will be appreciated the truck has 59k on the clock

Before you start the truck turn it to run (2 clicks) shift to neutral and then start it. If there is no issue its rhe connection to the neutral safety starter switch

I dont know about new cars, but in my past experience the battery light really meant alternator issues. Never once did a bad battery ever trip the battery light.

that is my opinion about the alternator issues is the voltage regulator inside the alternator? any more advice will be great

will it de any harm to install a 300w alternator instead of the 160w can get a good price on the 300w you opinion please
