Been doing my research but cant come up with a definitive answer on which model to choose. S and B l reviews are looking good along with K and N...any input??

I had a K&N for quite a while on my truck, and I really liked it. I personally think it's the best open intake you can get for the 4th gens. If I were to get a closed, it would be the S&B though.

Is there benefits to the open CIA? I do my fair share of dirt tossing....would the closed be better for that purpose?? Thanks for the input

so are you saying you havent had any trouble with water, mud or excess dirt clogging the k and n?? anyone know the numbers comparing the k and n and volant and s and b?? talking cfm or a percentage versus stock??

i havent yet, the one time i did go with it when i came in to wash the engine bay the filter had splashes of mud on it

Ive got the Brute Force by AEM and I love it. Good, deep sound...no MPG increase but gets off in the lower RPM range better. In my 06 Sport I had the Volant and that was an awesome box.

AEM brute force in my book... Made my own and it wasnt very good. Cansave money making your own but it will look ghetto unless your a pro.
Pay more for the prolook... its worth it

I love my K&N 63 Series Air Charger CAI. It really opens up the air flow into the engine. It gives the engine an obvious roar that it didn't have before when you give it some gas.

Does anyone have an S&B installed, with opinions? I really like the design of the Volant/S&B. I worry about the seal on the clear cover of the S&B- seems kinds gimmicky to me, on par with TPMS sensors,

looking for same thing... but i want more mpg help.... and i do go play in the mud;.... but i dont mind cleaning filter.... alot of people say k an n for mpg hows the volant do? cause i do like the closed box idea

I think you would be very happy with the Volant. They are at the top of the list for performance gains, and the closed filter will benefit you in the mud. They also come with a dry filter, so cleaning the filter is as easy as spraying it down with a water hose and putting it in the sun to dry out.

Ive got the K&N CAI and love the preformance out of it. Also the roar from under the hood whe you put your foot into reminds me of a 4 barrel opening up !!!
