I saw where some people were using some larger washers to raise the rear seats enough to clear the cab wall hook. Anyone know how much lift they need to clear?

I would just cut the tabs. You need 1/2 to 5/8 lift. Or that's is what I roughly cut off my tabs. I didn't use washers because the seat Brackets are then concentrating the weight on certain areas instead of being mounted flat. Just didn't seem right to me. To each their own.

No no.. this is why I asked. If it was only like 1/4" or so that'd be fine but 5/8" is pushing it. 'preciate it.

I tried the washers first and it was just too much. I don't remember the height I needed but it made me feel real uneasy. It also places the hooks higher on the bar so the don't cinch down tight and the back seat will rattle all the time.

If Washers were put under the Seat, the Fold Flat Floor, would be way out of wack

Very good point, seeing as all you do with washers is raise the hooks to the skinniest part. I'm convinced.

Not so, it's only raised a bit at the back, the rest sits flat. 1000003423.jpg
It also dies not rattle in any way. I bought longer bolts in case I didn't get good thread engagement, but the stock bolts were long enough for full bite.

I used a 3/4" Nut on all mount pad's, using the Factory Bolts.
No seat rattle, and Foldout Floor works fine, (the 2 times I used it).

You won't hear the seat rattle in normal smooth road driving. Large bumps and off-road it will make noise. Really comes down to what you're comfortable doing. They both accomplish what you want.

On my 2019 just trimming the hooks to the bottom of the plastic wasn't enough. Also started adding washers and still not enough. I've seen recent videos where people had to trim more off the hook so that's next. Just seems to vary widely as to how much needs to be trimmed? Stupid that they didn't just make this work by design. I have to check if the part attached to the seatback can adjust up/down? I know it is just held on with 2 screws

I do not know about how you use your Fold Flat Floor

Mine has something like 150 pounds on it normally
When i come back from a trip, i remove all my Clothing bags.
But i leave my Truckers Map books, the Emergency Kit, the Rotating Lights, Traffic Control Devices, Rain Gear, etc.

I want the Fold Flat Floor to sit solidly, the way it was designed.
So no washers for me.

If you can use that method, that is great !

Both the 2009 & 2016 had it as a Factory option

The 2009 was a Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab
The 2016 Ram 1500 is a BigHorn SLT Quad Cab

When you buy a Crew Cab, then offer the Fold Flat Floor, its just a bit bigger than the Quad Cab unit

Even the Mega Cab cabs, have some sort of similar floor, maybe the back side of the seat becomes the floor ??

Ha!.....I thought alot of people used washers or spacers to raise the seat up for subwoofer settups...never thought about the top hooks.
