Just bought a 2107 1500 Ecodiesel with 86k miles and it has the DPF code 2002 and was wondering if it’s possible someone did a delete without reprogramming it, the reason I ask this is when I got it it had half a tank of DEF so I filled it up on my first fill up of fuel and have gone through 3 tanks now and the level has not gone down one bit, also my tail pipes have a lot of carbon build up inside them and other than the 2002 code there is no other codes or performance issues, I use archoil additive on each fill up, just seems I should have seen some consumption of DEF if even just a little but it hasn’t moved since I filled it and I added additive to that also just in case it had crystallized in the lines, another reason it makes me ask is the previous owner(s) didn’t get a couple of the recalls done which I plan to take in and have fixed but if someone did a delete I’m thinking they may have rejected the claim due to being modified, I may be just overthinking this but it just seems to make sense if this was the case but if anyone can sheds some light on my issue it would be appreciated but I’m sure the dealership will let me know that I either have a delete or just a expensive repair needed which I will probably do a delete before buying a new DPF filter, just seems a lot of other people have a lot more miles before have a filter issue.

Your truck should Regen maybe every 100-300 miles(?). I would take it back to dealer for service as if it is deleted and done incorrectly it could be damaging your engine and they have an obligation to un-modify the vehicle. Also, FWIW it is illegal to sell a truck with a delete as well as do the delete yourself. While you may not want it, knowingly selling the vehicle to someone else is a crime and if you get rid of it someday and that person gets punched you can bet they aren't going to take the hot all by themselves.

Simple enough for you to find out. Look at the exhaust and figure out if the DPF has been removed and replaced with a straight pipe. Same for the EGR solenoid/cooler. If it's unplugged or removed chances are it's deleted.

If you're not towing with it, that DEF gauge can sit in the same spot for quite a long time. It doesn't really use much until you put some weight behind it.

As Tron says... deletes are heavily frowned upon and could land you in some hot water depending on where you live. You need to understand the potential consequences before you attempt it.

As for the DEF level not going down, it's an 8 gallon tank and when filled to the top takes a while to drop off full. Even still that tank is good for close to 10K miles if your just driving.
As for the truck being deleted, there is a good probability that it is, the tail pipes being carboned up is a tell-tale sign the DPF is not there or less likely not doing it's job. If the DPF wasn't performing correctly with the factory programming you most likely would have had error codes.
Do NOT let a dealership flash the ECM until you know for sure if the truck is deleted or not. If they do flash the ECM and it is deleted you'll have yourself a 5Klbs paperweight that they will most likely wash their hands. This happened on another forum and the owner had to have the truck towed away until he could get a delete tune for the truck.
