Any other FCA brands with 2dr and pwr fold mirror options? ie. Jeep Wranglers are available in 2dr and 4dr... Was it an option? I don't think Challengers had em.

M² Mods.
Not that I have been able to find plus some of them have different colors of illumination.

We just need to bring the 2dr guys over

M² Mods.

What are the chances the switch mainboards are the same between the 2dr and 4dr Models? I saw a teardown of one on Youtube and the top part of the switch housing is all one piece and the mainboard comes out separately.

I think @bellaireroad was leaning towards that, but the fact that he just sold me his 4-door power window switch makes me believe that is not an option.

Works great in my (4 door) truck, though!

I assume I can't add power fold mirrors to a 09?

I believe the answer is no, but back when I had my 2012, there was mention on some of the parts sites(looking at the option codes on certain mirrors and door modules) that there was supposed to be a Power Folding tow mirror option on the 2012 Rams. It may be a long shot but if the door module supports it (looks like 68055299AK and 68055298AK are compatible and should have power folding) and alfaobd would let you turn on power folding it might work.

Yeah, wish the modules were cheap. Kinda expensive to do a trail and error. lol

I doubt they are the same (1 connectors vs 2), but I may try to crack open my original 4dr power fold switch to see if there are pads on the board to solder LEDs/compare if I don't just sell my original one.

I know for certain that power fold will work on a 2010 ram 2500. It needed door modules from a grand Cherokee- driver 4602911AK, passenger 4602910AK. Now, if you go on 1aauto and look up the tow mirrors for a 2009 ram 1500, it shows those mirrors being compatible on 2009-2012 ram trucks. I can only *deduce* that if the power fold door modules worked on a 2010, then they *should* work on a 2009.

I figured it should be possible, do you happen to know which mirrors were used? Only part i could never figure out was which mirrors would work or if the newer mirrors were wired the same.

The 2013-19 classic mirrors. The only thing that isn’t used is the temp sensor on the driver mirror, because there’s already one in use on the front of the truck.

Thanks for the info. I didn't think the tow mirrors power fold. Really don't need those big ass things. lol

I've read this thread with great interest. I am curious that if I were to replace my OEM folding/adjustable non-heated mirrors with mirrors that are heated if I would get the heat feature?

2014 Big Horn power folding power adjust/no heat/no turn signal black non-tow mirrors at present.

Thanks!

I will attempt to answer my own question, given my present knowledge.

Looking at the wiring diagrams, it appears that the standard door module, which I should have, has connections on it that would power the heater circuit. So as long as the mirror itself had wiring that would connect to the door module heater ouput, then the heaters would energize.

Perhaps a different harness would be needed? I dunno.

I have never seen a 13+ truck without heated side mirrors... Do you have a very base model truck?, ie vinyl floors, and manual roll up windows?

Big Horn with the luxury package. I don't see the little "heater" icon on the mirrors though.

Edited to add: Okay, the build sheet says I have power folding heated auto dimming etc etc mirrors. I guess the truck is more deluxe than I thought!!!

Thank you!!!

Just fyi for any folks replacing the switch i can confirm this non oem switch works well, not a lighted fold button but, works same as as oem.
