These are the ones i bought to replace the lost pair. But you can buy cheaper versions. I've never actually measured the rads hose clamps, but they're probably at least 2" or more in diameter Ed.I've always just reused the factory clamps,as i've yet to have one go bad on me,but now that i've mentioned it,i'll probably have a bunch break now

Thanks.

I think I bent one of the smaller ones, have to find which one. Was wondering the sizes so I could maybe buy some without getting r-aped by Ma Mopar.

Although, I've already been r-aped from buying all the parts I have.......lol.

Try to avoid using a worm gear clamp,as they suck on a rubber hose

I cleaned out some stuff in my front room closet and came across the Pulsar that I tried out on my 2017 HEMI RAM. I used it for about a year and took it off, wasn't what I expected ...

Ed, do you want it to try it out, it's for 2015-18 5.7 HEMI/with the ZF8 Speed?
This right here is what an "enthusiast community" is all about.

Sure, I'll try it. If I ever get done.

Mine is officially the slowest cam/lifter job on record.......lol.
LOL... A guy over on a boating site I am a member of, has been trying to repair one of the two 8.1L engines in his boat for 2 YEARS. His problem is he won't listen to anyone and always has some "edumacated" reason why they are wrong. New heads, new cam, new roller lifters, new timing chain, new injectors, all new sensors for the ECU, new ECU and so on.

Final fix? New fuel pump pressure regulator, like I suggested a year ago. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Guess he has alot of spare parts now......lol.

Wish mine were that simple of a fix. Hope I made the right call on replacing the internals. My timing set didn't look bad at all, I expected the guides to have alot more wear than they did.

I just didn't want to be that deep into it and take a chance that something else might fail with the mileage I have.

In the back of my mind, I knew the answer about replacing the valves and rocker arms. I tried so hard to convince myself it would be ok not to replace them, but here we are.

If it weren't for all the members here, I'd be lost.

But don't worry. I'm looking at all the external stuff, wondering where some of it goes......lol. So, there will be lots more stupid questions to come.

Maybe, I'll start a new thread, "Help!!!, I've replaced my cam and lifters, and I can't put it back together!!!"......lol

Thank you all.

Most of the electrical plugs will only go on one way,so as long as you get all them hooked back up,the rest is pretty easy Ed.
You're one step ahead of me now though, the cam and header job i did on my buddies 6.4 Challenger works great, but on his 3rd pass at the track on Saturday,he sheared an axle off ,and it tore up the axle side gear bad enough i won't reuse it,and of course Ma Mopar and ZF don't sell service or replacement parts for the cars ZF diffs, they'll only sell you a complete diff, and there's none available in Canada, and only a couple available at US dealers, and they won't part with them,so we're trying to find a 3.90 geared Challenger ZF diff in a wrecking yard, and even that's not panning out great,as the 3.90 diff is only available in 5.7 and 6.4 Challengers with the 6 speed manual transmission, aarrgghh

Not too worried about electrical, more about brackets and bolts, etc.

I have 2 bolts laying on the bench that i have no clue about, and one real long one also. I think a/c or thereabouts, plus one bracket i think for rear of a/c compressor.

I tried to keep stuff situated, but I got interrupted here and there.

There's a short bracket that should go on the back of the alternator, that alot of guys miss or throw away, lol.
I'm guessing that's where the spare bracket goes,as i don't remember one off the A/C compressor, but it's been a bit since i did a truck cam, done more car cams then truck cams truth be known, lol

No it was more starter and driver error. The starter didn't back him up far enough to be in the water box,and he's in experienced enough,he didn't think to open the door and look to see if his back tires were in the water,so when he wound it up to 4,000 rpm and dropped the clutch on the stickiest part of the track, the drivers side axle said later dude, lol

Well, so much for getting the heater hoses for my '15, discontinued. I can get the short hose that goes to the 3way valve but not the hoses that go to the core.

And the spring clamps on those smaller hoses are only sold with the hoses.

Another bonehead move by RAM.

Anyone bypass the 3way valve? Tee the lines and leave the electrical connected?

I'm gonna take some measurements from my hoses and see what I can find to replace them with.

Does this look like what you need?

That one looks like its for the 4.7

Check on those parts for the later model DS body Rams, or Ram classics. In many cases, Ram lists things as discontinued, when they are still making updated parts for later trucks that fit and work on the older trucks.

If you know someone with a newer one, have them pop the hood and let you take look. I bet most of those parts are the same.

Like my power steering EPS rack. Discontinued for the 2013, but the 2021 Ram classic EPS fits, plays well with the computer, and workes perfectly.
