There’s your problem!

Yeah talk about a sh*t design. There’s 4 pins snapped off too so a new TIPM is the order of the day I’d say
This is exactly the reason I apply Krown annually to my entire fuse box and all its connectors underneath.

I ensure all fuses are seated properly and then soak them with the Krown product. I also spray my alternator, computer and its connectors on the firewall, my coil packs, and every inch of everything under my hood.

I've been doing this for a long time on every car I've owned and have never experienced any issues.

I shampoo my engine at least once a year (maybe twice if it's really dirty) and then use a can of the Krown spray to touch up everything.

They used to sell wire dryer. It’s a spray sealer for plug wires & distributor caps. After cleaning /replacing tipm you can spray all plug in connectors . This will give some protection to tipm & connectors. This may help some in those road salt areas.

Back in the day we used WD-40 on the cap/rotor and wires to dry em out.

The Krown product also gets rid moisture, and provides a great rust/corrosion protection layer for electrical as well as all its other benefits.

I understand the frustration here, but not like this is unique to Ram trucks. Almost every car and truck on the road today has a fuse box/power distribution module mounted under the hood that is not sealed from the elements.

True, but I'm unaware of other vehicles having such a challenge from an unsealed, decaying interface. Not saying they don't exist.

I sold my '87 Toyota extended cab when it was about 20 years old, I never had any fusebox challenges with it even after years of offroading in swamps and many Ontario winters of road use.

And, for many other trucks and cars I've subjected to winter road chemicals, none had fuse box issues.

It's not that unusual on other vehicles. I have a 10 year old GM product and the diagnostic procedures for many electrical issues start with "inspect around the power distribution box for corrosion". Again, maybe Ram trucks are more prone to this but it's not unique to just them. Not saying it makes it right or anything, and they could have designed it better to not be as big of an issue.

So at this point I’ve got the replacement TIPM But haven’t been able to install it yet because there was so much corrosion on specifically the green terminal block that I’m just going to have to replace it all together. Plus the plastic was cracked and 2 of the wires broke off due to the amount of build up and 6 pins from the TIPM itself broke off inside the block. Tried my best to clean it up but I’m calling it a lost cause. I ordered new crimp on terminals for the wiring end but I need to track down the green block. So far no luck with any local salvage yards. I may need to reach out to Mopar since I can’t find it online anywhere. Would like to have an entire replacement set for each terminal in the future. I have a Haynes repair manual but it gives very little detail on the electrical side. Does anyone have or know where to find a full electrical riser diagram so I can verify each circuit to ensure it’s all functioning correctly when I get it all squared away?? Or any leads on where to find the parts I need?

You can buy short term subscriptions for one vehicle from places like ALLDATA. Think it's around $20 for a month and it should have a good electrical schematic. You could also call the dealer and get a price on a factory service manual (we used to get the actual books, but probably only available electronically now). Might be able to find somebody online that has a download of them.
For parts, you can go into a dealership part's department and often the counter person can help you track down what you need. They usually have good parts schematics and often more in-depth knowledge of the vehicles. I know a lot of people think dealerships are the devil, but they sometimes can be helpful. I found it not unusual to be able to get original OEM quality parts sometimes for the same cost as cheapo chain autoparts stuff....not a big fan of some of that cheap aftermarket stuff especially when it comes to electrical parts. I would also think an auto salvage yard would have some 10 year old vehicle floating around.

If you got carried away with the WD40 under the cap,it wasn't that uncommon to blow the cap off from the explosion, lol. After doing it once,i learned to leave the cap off for a few minutes, after spraying everything down with WD40,before re-installing it,and trying to start the vehicle :Big Laugh:
Also if you're using WD40 to lube/repair your wifes vacumn cleaner, don't have your face over it,when you tell her to plug it in,it's hard on eyebrows/hair etc.,ask me how i know :Big Laugh: My wife still laughs at me about that one  :Big Laugh:

So I did end up reading out to the dealership yesterday and he got me hooked up with one of the websites they get their original mopar parts from. It doesn’t look like I can order from there without a dealer code but at least I could get the genuine part numbers. Made it easier to track down what I need. Unfortunately the dealer can’t get me just the terminal block by itself without ordering the entire TIPM along with it. The best I can find is the full repair kit to swap it out and it’s like $220. Wishing I would have just gone through the dealership to get the whole kit and kaboodle all together from the start…

Might wanna try some salvage yards or u-pulls as well, just in case they may have something decent (or decent enough, harness and connector-wise).

Hang in there.

Got a little firsthand knowledge there, Rick? Glad it's just a little eyebrow/hair damage (and maybe a little pride, too....lol)

I myself have never done anything like that....lol :emotions33: I did get singed pretty good from a gas grill, though. I know very well the bright flash, you never forget the smell, either....lol

If you're looking for a TIPM, I believe GoECM offers a repair service for 300$, or you can buy one from their stock for $400.

They show one for your 2014 in-stock:

Did this OP ever get reported resolved?
I hope this is proper forum etiquette
I just joined. and this thread seems to have the most relevant responses to my many issues:
(This all came about over the last 6 months)
Occasional no turning over...lightly tap clean battery posts and then starts up again, battery strong (3-4x occurrence)
ABS and traction control dash lights come on and stay on
Service air bag warning flashes on every start up
Ram begins occasionally (frequently) locking and unlocking itself repeatedly and rapidly while in park, not running.
Cruise control stops engaging.
4WD stops engaging after previously use was reluctant to disengage.
Do you think I should start at the TIPM?
