Enable Loudness audio setting on 8.4UAQ on Alpha OBD

Is there a way in Alpha Obd to enable or populate Vehicle User Guide regardless? I guess probably not since each Year is different as well as different trim models.

Mines a 2014 with a UAQ in it I added after the fact so I've never looked honestly. Pulling the fuse, a factory reset, or resetting all the radios internal ECU settings might bring it back for you if it's no longer present.

Yeah I did factory resets and battery pulls. I have the paper book manual and can always look it up online if needed but would’ve been nice to have back.

The install radio apps Alfa option you mentioned might do it to. I think someone had a similar problem to yours recently with the UAV and the ECU reset did the trick.

Well that didn't work. I was looking in alpha at radio module and noticed it also has a ECU reset. Is that the same as the one on the body control ecu reset?


Also what does this function do?

My Radio that has FM/Radio is in the Media and not in its own radio if you look at your screen you will see that you have a standalone radio tab with station and a separate icon for media. For some reason my FM /AM radio, usb/siruis, ect are in the media tab alone. I dont have the Radio tab unless that vanished and they grouped everything together in media tab in 40.1.

Also no more Vehicle User Guide tab for me even after numerous ecu resets and battery pulls on body computer with days waiting for it yo appear. Been a few months now since updating it vanished. I was originally on 34. Version but upgraded for the bug fixes in newer version.

Mine doesn't have both, 40.1 UAQ doesn't have separate buttons anymore. Merged all to one softlkey based on which ever one you are using. Actually think when I upgraded I jumped to 28.3 and then to 40.1 and 28.3 already had this changed. Not sure about the manual. I know mine had it, but I never opened it so not sure if mine is there. Only annoying thing since upgrading is that when I am listening to SiriusXM and leave it on that when I power off the next time I turn the truck on it shifts me to presets 7 through whatever. If I listen to fm hd channel it doesn't change the preset screen when shut off. Guess it's better then people that kept losing presets after upgrading. Just a slight annoyance.

Ok I see what you mean. I forgot I took this one too with it on radio.
I never really payed attention to this since it's usually always on Siriusxm or Android Auto when I plug in.

Did this UConnect come in this 2020 Ram? Or did you replace with this one? Is it from 2018+ truck? Mine is a 2018 with AA&CP.

No it didn’t and the radio was a 2019 UAQ with AA & CP had it two years now.

Since the radio didn’t come originally in my truck is there a VIN number or proxy alignment that needs to be done perhaps why its not communicating with radio navigator module?

Mine didn't come with my truck either, but I tried writing my vin to my radio,but got the error that I needed a blue cable or something along those lines. I have a 2017 so it's not the security bypass cable.
