I've never worked with the trucks tazer, but i know on the cars you can use the tazer to unlock the performance pages,as i've got them unlocked on my 300,have you looked into whether it'll do the same on the trucks.
I just double checked and the Taser can't activate performance pages either......
I tried again last using the Viper performance pages then switching back to the DS vehicle line and again overnight the App stopped working and the only thing left was just the icon. The Transmission pages basically display but don't function. I'm thinking it might be because the radio is a 8.4 (3) and not a 8.4 (4C). The only way to figure this out would be to dump $500min for a test and that's a little too much $ for just a simple App LOL.....
I'll still play around with settings and see if something actually works or not. If I get it to work I'll post here.....

I changed the vehicle line back to ZD-Viper and the performance pages are working again along with just about everything in the instrument cluster. The fuel gauge reads an 1/8th less than what in the tank but there is a recalibration option in AlphaOBD based on if the tax is full or empty. There's also the option of changing tank size based on Liters. So for now I'll let the truck sit overnight with the current settings to see what happens in the morning as things change overnight. With any luck at all I'll be able to recalibrate the fuel tank and just leave the Vehicle line as a ZD-Viper and keep performance pages. Also I noticed the heated seats and steering wheel currently don't work but I've seen many articles it takes time for vehicle options to be recognized. Hopefully this will work tomorrow :)

10 years ago you could Jailbreak the pages,as my buddy who was the original maker of the paddle shifters for the 4th Gens had them unlocked on his 2015.I kicked my a$$ for not spending the money to have him JailBreak the pages on my 14,as it wasn't long after that, that they quit supporting the Ram trucks.I was being cheap ,and didn't want to spend the few hundred it took at the time, aarrgghh :badidea:

Yeah, its a lot of work trying to figure out the right combination of things in the body controller to get the performance pages alone to work. I let my truck sit overnight and the steering wheel and heated seats started working again. I recalibrated the fuel tank size based on liters to get it to where my fuel level was currently at and that worked also. On startup the radio would load directly to the App menu where your select favorites in the meantime performance pages were loading. I switched to radio immediately and it worked fine and once the Performance pages Vs1.23.01 loaded they worked perfectly. The side effect, because of a vehicle configuration mismatch my truck had the ABS and Airbag lights on. This basically will disable the ABS/Traction Control and possibly the Airbags, there's also a trailer brake warning if your equipped. Since I need to tow a vehicle in the next week I restored my configuration back for now.
Today the performance pages worked great but with the ABS and Airbag issues. Otherwise letting the truck sit overnight everything else worked fine.
The paddle shifters, that would be a nice upgrade as the current factory setup sucks as you can only set maximum gear or minimum gear and not actually control the shifts. Yes, I'm 10 years late to the game as this 2016 is used but New to me and its been 15 years since I had a rear wheel drive vehicle.
This truck is a new toy to me and so far I'm loving it as it gets better MPG than my Avenger and is more useful.....(Avenger is a modded 3.6 that runs E85 that averages 12mpg on E85 or 93octane)

I often use the ERS buttons to switch gears.

I drive on mostly small rural highways, which have short and limited passing opportunities.
I drop down 2 gears on the tranny and plant the skinny pedal.
After clearing the slow-poke, I hold the '+' button to reset to OD and MDS.

I would love to install paddle shifters some day, but the ERS buttons will suffice for now.

Tonight I installed a 2018 Uconnect 8.4 UAQ I scored locally for $250. Of course I played with it before installing it and the previous owner removed the cellular module out of the radio and a couple screws were missing. Digging into the radio I purchased and doing some research it was a used pull from a 2018 Dodge Challenger that had Nav and SXM. I managed to butcher the Challenger mounting brackets off and use the mounting brackets from my factory 2016 Ram to get the radio installed securely. I have a new cell module installed($35), new thermal pads installed($15) and the radio mounted in the stock location. This 2018 Uconnect swap was definitely worth the time and effort because it costed me only $250 for the radio and a little more for misc and some time for modifications to get it to mount properly using parts from my stock 2016 Uconnect.
As of tonight the radio works perfect and is definitely much better than the factory 8.4. It's more responsive, better graphics, better sound, better controls, and soon I'll play again with body computer settings to see if anything changes using the newer Uconnect.....

I got the pages to load but nothing functions. This is using a 2018 Dodge Charger Uconnect UAQ 8.4 with the vehicle line still set as a DS-Ram and options set for SRT pages/Srt packages etc...
I currently have a software update ordered from Uconnect that will update the radio to 2025 software and maps. Once the software update arrives and is installed I'll play around with Alpha OBD again to see if I can get anything working.

Small little update, I downloaded the 2022 SRT feature guide and browsing through it quickly it states it will take around 500 miles before some of the features are activated. So once I get the software update installed I'll reset my odometer and wait 500 miles and see what happens.

If the upload worked, attached is the latest update for the 2018 VPR4 UAQ radio. The USB drive is marked:
United States
ASO QR
BW w40.1
D18PK95-D0401-3004

It is a 8GB thumb drive formatted as Fat32 format. The ZIP file extracted should be 1.18gb in size with 18 items/files....
You should be able to extract the Zip file to your desktop and the extracted file should be the 1.18GB as I mentioned above. Once you have an 8GB thumb drive formatted to FAT32 you should be able to drag and drop the VP4R_Update file (not zipped) to the drive and have no issues doing the update. Now I only recommend the 8GB jump drive as that's what was used for the factory install. It may work with larger drives but I was not going to take the time to play around with different drive sizes. So if you have an old 8gb drive laying around I would try it, if you have anything larger I don't know if it will work.

If the update did not attach to this message let me know, it's a 1.18GB file so I may need to find another way to add it to this post. I also just opened the MAP updates and its a 2024 Q4 update on a 16GB drive formatted as FAT32. The MAP update is 4.94GB in size and requires codes to unlock it. I contacted Uconnect about this update as they stated it was a 2025 update and its actually a 2024 update. I'm currently waiting for a reply........

Thanks for keeping us updated and trying to upload the required files.
I suspect the file size limitations here are far too small for these types of files to be uploaded.

As an alternative, could you please post the URLs where we could obtain the files?
And for the guidebook.
TIA

I'm confident that I'm not the only member who would be very pleased to have access to functional Performance Pages on our Ram truck.

I'll work on uploading the software update to my online server and post a link here. I'll have to upload the feature guide also as it's 10MB in size and this website says its too large to upload

I got about that far but then I started running into the abs issues, the horn didn't work, I remember something with the wipers not working the steering options wouldn't let me change anything. I bought the stuff to flash the ram modules but never did get around to it. I was gonna flash the abs module to the challanger as well as the steering rack.

I compared both bcm pinouts for the srt and the truck to see what wires I could swap to get the horn and other things going but at that rate it just wasnt worth doing. Plus the red key black key features would be nice and as far as I've found to date no one can seem to make a black key work as a red one and the red ones won't communicate with our rf modules in our trucks.

Spent about a day digging through newer 8hp75 files to figure out Tip mode etc. There was a pretty big shake up in the calibrations layout for some needed changes and it was hard to find. Got some 2020-21-22 Ram files working. Hopefully this will make it a bit easier to find it in newer files as well since I kind of know what to look for. One of these days I am going to have to go through these tables and figure out what they actually do. Very weird to blind edit them to get the changes I want but not understand them at all. There are subtle differences on manual shift vehicles but they are relatively the same. ON the Rams or others that do not have sport/track/manual they are very different.

Thanks Brandon and Wild one for your updates!
I'm working with my server company as my FTP side of the server is not working correctly. Once I get that figured out I'll link the files here. Also a company called "HERE" is responsible for the MAP updates on the Uconnect radios and they stated that the 2025 Map update is 2024 Maps. They state it takes them almost 12months to create a new Map update. So if you purchase a 2026 Map update, its actually a 2025 update.

Small update, I changed more settings and no progress. With the factory 2016 8.4 I was able to get the PerformancePages to work by using the Viper body line and SRT settings but then there were many of side effect issues. Now I have the 2018 Challenger 8.4 installed and I can view the Performance pages but nothing works no matter what options I select using AlphaOBD. So I broke down tonight and ordered a TAZER to see if that will do anything for getting the Performance Pages/ Shift options/ etc..etc...
As for the 2018 8.4 update files to get linked here, I've been in contact with my server company and they don't understand why my FTP links are not working....I'm still working on it......

Unlock your PCM,then you can use HP to tune your shift points where you want them.
