In Lieu of having my truck ripped apart for other reasons in the upcoming month, I have decided to rebuild/build up the Stock 5.7. I was looking at doing the 6.7L Stroker Conversion from Arrington 410 HEMI Stroker Kit - shopHEMI.com but did not know If I should piece it together with better parts or if this + the other needed supporting mods would do.

Also, anyone who has done this conversion, what dyno numbers are you pulling?

I have 2 L&M Transmissions coming in the future so im not worried about killing the stock transmission.

Built 3 engines when I was 16/17 so I feel I have a decent working knowledge of how to assemble it, but with a different engine there is a slight learning curve. So if you have any tips or tricks feel free to suggest.

Thanks.

If you are doing a stroker I would recommend getting it balanced. Also if you have the tools messure tolerences as you are putting it together as the strokers I've seen built are built on the tight side.

Are you building for boost, N2O, or NA?

Important question to answer. If you're going boost or N2O then a 410 will be a bad idea. A downside to going that big on the 5.7L block is that the stroke will be so long that you'll have piston rock problems at the bottom of the chamber. The 410 is the least popular 5.7L build for that reason. The 400 is as far as I would go myself, a 392 is rock solid, and if you want to do boost or N2O then I'd only go to a 370.

Charonblk07 has very good points you don't want to go to far with it. No matter what size you go I recomend buying the kits. all of the peices have been fitted and tested together to insure everything works proper, and your not running down little peices or parts that you didn't relise you needed that's more of a headache than anything, or having to wait because you didn't order 1 last little part.

Im going to be running N20 and Boost, So based of what me and Matt from moes have talked, Im going to be getting a Crate 6.4L running a 200 shot of N20 then see how it goes from there. Down the line might throw a 4.7L Kenne Bell SC on it to finish it off.

If that's the case, then before you do ANYTHING to that engine buy a set of drop-in pistons for it. The 6.4L is fragile as hell when it comes to boost since it comes at 11.4:1 compression ratio and has a smaller ring land than the 6.1L. The next weak point will be the rods but the pistons will be your first hurdle with boost. The crank is forged at least.
