Don't know what you're talking about? The only problem is some dummy at aFe put the sticker on upside down and I'm too impatient to send it back..

The air box is supposed to seal up tight to the hood. Looking at the pics I don't see how that could happen.

Its just the angle of my pics. I checked that fitment first since I was having such an issue getting the pipe in.

Well that "sticker" is actually a wicked sharp piece of metal thats cut out in that design and then has a sticker applied to it. Its attached by a thicker piece of double sided tape looking stuff. I thought about taking some pliers to pulling it off, but A. didn't want to scratch up my intake & B. I was afraid it would just bend all up and not come off. I'm sure I'll take it off in the coming weeks when I paint the intake tube, but for now it's going to have to stay.

Ya if you look at the second pic of 2k10Hemi's pic on that link above its at the same angle mine are taken. Looks way to angled to meet up, but it does.

Sorry, I just don't see how that airbox could possibly seal up with the hood. The front portion sits lower than the fender. My K&N setup isn't perfect either, but the few gaps it has are less than a 1/4". I also don't see how the air from the fender duct is routed into that airbox. Sure looks to me like it just draws air from the passenger side of the engine compartment, which is not what a CAI is supposed to do.

I will do my best to snap some more pics later. The original duct work is there that funneled air from up by the headlight on the stock one.

I know this is an OLD thread, but I'm planning on doing this very soon, and I'm going with this style, the silver in the middle but lime green on the letters.

My question / thoughts:
Mask the sides, since they will never be painted.
Paint the letters Lime Green
Mask the top of the letters
Paint the rest silver.

Is that how ya did it?

not sure if he'll be back on anytime soon. He's got a Ford now! ;)

I would.....

Paint the outside (why not?)
Mask that off
Paint the inside, all of it.
Mask off all but the letters, paint.
Remove masking and clear it all at once.

Slick! I really had no intention of considering this, but it looks so d@mn good.
I think JJ nailed the paint and mask order too.

This maybe the stupidest question yet... I've been inspired after seeing all these cool covers and wish to paint mine, but how do I remove the cover? Does it just snap on? I sure don't want to go pulling and tugging and end up breaking something.
