Hey guys I'm new to this forum so I just wanted to throw this question out there see if I can get some feed back. I'm going to be changing my oil soon an in the past I've used all sorts of different oil types and filters but recently I've been using penzoil platinum an a napa gold filter, and my truck has 138,000 on it. So does anyone have an oil they've found that works good and trucks the engine clean? Also what filter. Any suggestions would be great

Hey ghost since you've been using that oil and filter have you been able to tell any difference in how the oil looks when you change it.

I change it every 5k religiously and it is cleaner than when I changed it every 3 when I first got the truck and I was running castrol synthetic. Same filter so it's deff better oil and cost shows it

I like the Royal Purple idea. Also look at some of the high mileage blended synthetics. Those will work well for your engine. Just go with the recommended weight oil.
