Fan won't quit

My 1st thread so here goes. 2 days ago I started my Ram only to have the radiator fan continue to run. Still on today. No temp problem, no a/c on, everfill tank at Max. First problem I've had in 49k. Waaasup?

Welcome To the forum! Is ac working properly? Sometimes when refrigerant gets too low it will kick the fan on and keep it on.

Did you go in for any service or update or recall, take it to the dealer for any reason prior to this starting? It is rare but every once in a while the fan was programed to go on early for some unknown reason.

I'd run codes.

Does yours still have the 134a? Mine although a 5.7, ( maybe the difference ) has the new freon probably different connectors, 1234yf.

Ok thanks. No, no updates that I know of. They have done all the oil changes, part of purchase deal. I'll get it in this week. I'm sure I have a recall pending

Mine kinda did this for a bit always felt like my rad fan was on even when cold it did it for a while and 1 day just stopped doing it .. lol now only does it when ac is on or it gets hot now. Maybe try unhooking battery for a bit/reset.

Check your heater controls ,if they are set to defrost,the fan might be running ?

Probably fan clutch in that 2500.

Good evening Kate. Well, did take it to the dealer for the recall. They checked on any recall on clutch fans. Of course, no. I explained to the service tech I have a '71 at home, still original clutch fan. If you won't warranty it at least give me a new one at cost! Yeah NO! You sold me a truck that the TPMS light is on all the time, now the clutch fan is locked up. WTHeck. Smiled and said "next".
