Hello All!!

I have a P219A and P0305 on my OBD reader...I've change the following:

- Fuel Injectors
- Spark Plugs and ignition coils
- PVC
- Oxygen sensor
- Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor
- Gas Cap
- Throttle body

I still have the engine light...any suggestions!?!?!

Check gas psi behind engine. If you constantly only get it on 5 swap coils and plugs with any cylinder. Your hope is the first code, if only get p0305 that most likely would be cam lob on 5.

To add to what Burla suggested

A dead cam lobe/lifter on #5 can result in low compression, in conjunction with the misfiring, unburnt fuel in the exhaust can be interpreted by the PCM as an air/fuel imbalance and set code p219a.

Did the engine tick while idling?

Do a compression test on #5.

219A is usually the intake manifold bolts are loose. 219A is the drivers side. Cyl 5 misfire is also drivers side. Coincidence? I think so. Find the post about intake manifold bolts and start there before ripping everything else apart.

Please tell me more...

A few members have had success with an E-torque, but...

Most members with any technical background will run in the opposite direction at the mere thought of purchasing an E-torque. The theory is great, but the execution is a flop if you consider the after sales suppost aspect or availability of spare parts. And, no ability to bypass the complicated systems to stay mobile.

If you're technically skilled with electronics and have a strong automotive-based mechanical background, maybe, but only if you have your own spare MGU included with the sale. And a spare vehicle.

The problem is that any failure of the MGU will most likely make the truck inoperable.

I wouldn't want the potential grief and would choose to buy a used 2019-2021 Hemi, any time before an E-torque.

The bottom line is, the more complicated an electronic/mechanical system, the greater the potential for failure. The entire concept of using a start/stop system to save the environment is a complete hoax.

Sure, it might squeak out a slightly better mileage, but at the expense of making an already complicated truck that much more complex.

Try using the search utility in the upper right corner for an eye-opener.

Mine just had the P219A and P0303. Dealership replaced injectors, #3 still misfired, then #5 started to misfire. Long story short, they found metal inside the Oil Control valve, I'm getting a new motor.

Wish the best for ya.

Just go read 5 gen general forum before buying an eTorque, or even better just scrap the idea. You want to duplicate what you had that got you 280k miles as best you can, and that ain't it. What vehicle are you walking away from?

Smart man or woman, and you're most welcome.

Here is a newer thread on the topic.

Update: I see that you found that thread already. I will leave this post for all of the people searching for this topic. I'm confident there will be many looking until Stellantis has an awakening/pulls their head out of a dark cavity, and brings back the Hemi, sans E-junk.

Question....Why 2019-21 and not 2022-24? Thanks for your time and information...

It's a personal choice that a few others may share or dismiss.
You're most welcome, and I'm happy to share.

I hate nannies, and each year FCA adds more of them.
I've learned to defeat most of them on my truck, but I know some of them in the following years are more problematic and/or impossible to defeat.

The 3-horn chirp when closing the door on a running truck, for instance.
AlfaOBD has a solution for some years, but not all, IIRC.

Plus, I'm convinced that many trucks built after 2020 are potential nightmares due to craft quality problems, caused by bad attitudes.

I think my '21 was a lottery that I won.
