How To Add Heated/Ventelated seats and Heated Wheel to Express/Tradesman

The dealer would have to go through WIC to get the codes added as it's not available in our list of options. I have heard Chrysler has cracked down severely on dealers going through WIC to add codes I'm also not sure they could do it that quickly. It would also seem that if they had the heated seat code added they would have also done the heated steering wheel. It seems crazy but maybe when they did the reflash since the heated seats were already in and working it just picked up on them somehow I'm not sure but like Deer Guy says IT WORKS! and that's the main thing. We will have to get more trucks done before we can start figuring out a pattern.

According to dodgetk81 adding this code put the heated seats button on his screen. Just speculating. Isn't there a way to pull up your current build sheet online? It would be interesting to see what dealer installed options maiznblue has.

I remember that post too. When I looked through my options list on my build sheet when I had my truck plugged in at the dealer there was nothing for heated seats on my particular truck. The Mopar seat heater kit that I have seen seems to be a complete Standalone system this which is actually has two sided tape on the switches and they want you to stick them somewhere. It's kind of a hokey looking setup. On the other hand the codes were not in there before he took it to the dealer so you may be on to something I'm not sure what code it is though. If your theory is correct that would also explain why the heated steering wheel is not on his screen.

Rick or 00R/T where are the options located for the auto dim mirror and the temp compass function in the radio? Please if you guys remember it would save a lot of time and experimenting.

On a side note I changed the splash screen to the radio to Masserati, that was kind of cool, I was able to change it back but not gonna do that again.

I have everything for the seats ready to go, just need the time. Winter storm in the northeast doesn't help much either. Lol

Trying to drum up business for your AE rental? The cost of this mod, is tough for most people, not cheap. I wanted to ask you since I got screwed on my seats which look and work great. Did you buy just the front seats? Most places want you to buy both, I may get stuck buying both and will be looking to sell the rear since I have a reg cab. I also will be looking to sell the front seats I have. Maybe someone with a 2009-2011 or a current 4500 or 5500.

But your right it did kind of die, I have to say adding the sales codes was so quick and easy it was almost a let down. After fighting with SM at multiple dealers that this and that cant be done, and then to do it myself in seconds it was just a little anticlimactic.

No just enjoyed the daily findings is all. Car-part sells them as front pairs some sell as singles. Most if not all that I found were for just the fronts.

Yeah once you see how fast the code is to add it's almost dissapointing. I thought it would ve involved but no, login to the module, click yes, and thats it.

Trust me I wont be quitting my job for renting it out a few times. Just trying to pay for my headlight retrofit. Not many want to spend 450 on the tool to use it once. Just doing as I did in the bmw world and getting tools in the hands of the community to do things like this, comes down to trust and fulfilling the reason of forums to share ideas and help execute on each others vehicles. Maybe Im a horrible person for trying to help others save some money? As well if it ends my days on this forum itll be a sad reality for the state of how these pages work.

It's extremely hard to find seats in good shape that aren't sold as a set. Since the majority of these trucks have back seats, most people want to buy a whole set. If a place sells just the fronts, they're going to be stuck with the rears forever.

I did find a drivers seat form a 15 by itself, no passenger on flea bay. Just missed a nice set on carparts to from a low miles 16. Ugh

Yeah. I couldn't get it to work. All I got was an SRT splash screen I had trouble getting rid of.

I tried as well, the truck disagreed with displaying them. Other than the splashscreen theres not a lot in there thats usable as of now. I went through evrey page last night under every module just to see whats unlocked. Funny one was vehicle max speed was set to 255mph, I can tell you it wont get there before the limiter kicks in. The nice one is tire size! If I can find gearing and fuel tank size as those are #3 and #4 on my list it would be nice.

I will squeeze every dollar out of that little box I promise you that. I have to dig into it again on my laptop. My tablet is portable and worked perfectly but touchscreen and those menus suck so bad. Im sure I missed something and I will be looking again.
