Someone please confirm this... Says he has K&N, 85mm TB, super 40, and Diablo Trinity. These HP gains seem wayyy exaggerated to me... Am I wrong or is this thing that magical to give a 75hp increase?

Stock, the 5/6 speed trucks make about 290hp to the wheels. A good custom tune is good for about 30-35hp/tq to the wheels.

Well according to this guy... You're off by 15hp lol.

Correction: 5hp on stock, to the wheels.

key word being "a good custom" lol give him the benefit of the doubt here and say 35, so now he's at 325 to the RW. Can a throttle body, CAI and that exhaust, (no headers) get the other 25?

This is why I use the track for testing, and not the dyno. I have seen as much as a 30hp difference from 1 dyno or 1 dyno operator to the next. I don't think the guy is lying to you. 10hp from intake, 10hp from throttle body, 10hp from exhaust, and 30hp from custom tune would put him around 345hp after the mods. Being only about 15hp away from what he claimed is easily explainable by just being on a different dyno or having a different person driving the truck on the dyno.

These trucks are tough to dyno as it is without making it downshift into 2nd or upshift into 2nd prime. I wouldn't get to worked up over someone's dyno numbers. Take it to the track and see how it performs there.

Dynos are meant to be used as tuning tools. This day and age it's for bragging rights...

Just out of curiosity... About what are the average gains of a super charger?

Edit: I've never had one... But over the past years I've definitely looked at them, dreamed about having one. From what I can remember they offer anywhere from 80-150hp gains. Am I way off here?

With a tune I feel like an additional 25 isn't far off with those add ons. Headers will get him another 25 with LT no cats.

10hp from intake, 10hp from throttle body, 10hp from exhaust,

I guess I'm just skeptical, because I was doing nothing but performance mods on a focus st I had for a few months (long story, but I quickly went back to the Ram). I was comparing everyones actual dyno results with things like intake, exhaust, down pipes, tunes, E-83, etc..

The results were always minimal, even the venders selling the products would admit this via video of the dynos. We're talking like a 2hp gain on most listed and close to 20hp gain with tune (turbo). I get it that the Ram is a different beast... But I also know that you can't go off the advertised hp gains on the company's ad. Are these numbers something you have seen and know for a fact?

If you have some super fast truck with tons of mods, I apologize.. I'm not questioning your knowledge (probably know way more than me), but then again, I don't know you guys personally.

It really depends on the setup, boost pressure, stock or previously modded setup. Too many variables to put any number on it.

If those gains were true I imagine he would be dyin to post his dyno sheet.

With that being said, a good tune is worth quite a bit of HP. The number and of good tunes I have seen, especially on a Hemi, are far and few between. The timing on our trucks is seriously conservative. You can feel it when you drive around. Get into the top of second or third and lean on it a bit, not WOT, you can hear the flatness of the engine, this is lazy timing under load. Abuse management and traction control eat up most of the 1-3. With a custom tune and the intake and exhaust opened up. I don't think 30-35 is out of the question, I also don't just anyone can do that custom tune either.
