The ecupart.lua file does not exist in the 2013/2014 MY firmware, only the 2015 MY firmware. So the 15.25.1 prob won't have it.

RA4N update!

Many thanks to navrepair.com!!!!!! I now have working navigation along with the latest software update for my RA4N.

Anyone else that is having a problem with their RA4 upgrade, I would highly recommend navrepair.com. They were very prompt in answering all my email (questions) and kept me informed as to what was happening with my radio. Great experience.

i.e.
- where did u buy the radio
- what did it cost for navrepair to fix it
- what was the issue preventing the fw update (memory fail, incompatible fw/model mis-match, etc)
- will accept future updates you do on your own

Bought radio from Schram......everything worked.
after update to 15.?? nav would not activate

Cost.......depends on what's found to be problem. Mine....$100
No issue preventing firmware.....in the process of installing the latest 15 firmware the nav files were corrupted. Nav files had to be reinstalled manually. Dealer can't do this if RA4 is not in your original build code!!

Should accept future firmwares....but no guarantees!!

Good news. I found the serial number. I got the code. I had to use engineering mode to get into the radio to find the serial number

That is nearly the same radio part number Jared 4.7 has and he updated to the latest fw. But who knows.

To others, please share your radio year & PN:
If you press and hold both the temperature-up (red arrow) and temperature-down (blue arrow) buttons at the same time, for 5 or so seconds, you are presented with the "Engineering Menu"

Alright folks, I was able to use the Quirkparts.com site with a valid 2013 VIN and came up with the following:

2013 8.4AN (RA4/VP4 NA, p/n):
Possible P/N's: (Quirkparts.com /body/Sound System using valid 8.4AN VIN)
- 5091051AD / RADIO CODE: RA4,RSD,RS7
- 5091055AD / RADIO CODE: RJ4
- 5091060AD / RADIO CODE: RA4

- 68184965AD / RADIO CODE: RA4,RSD (Appears to be a VP4-CA /Canada radio)

Not that anyone wants a 2013 VP4 radio, but its worth noting. Might be more p/n's out there. Unfortunately, none of the 2014 and 2015 Ram Vins with 8.4AN/VP4 I have pull up on quirkparts.com. I added the above to the OP.

EDIT: The above apparently verifies the following ebay item as a 2013 RAM VP4:

Hmm mmm. ...probably not , I have a 2015 RA2 IN my 2014 ( RA1 ORIGINAL truck) with no issues ..

Not that anyone has mentioned yet. Some people have had issues with the 2015 radios, but it may work fine for you and your 2015 truck. 2015 radio has extra features though.

Yes 2015 installed no issues. I have all travel link features , Yelp, etc ... No apps such as Pandora or anything...Works perfect other then not being able to connect to uconnect.
