That is who I used to activate mine On Christmas Day 2018.
As an aside, if it wasn’t for my NAV I would not have found out my left front door speaker was blown. NAV sounds really weird through the dash speaker only.

I have an RA4 CA radio I put in my 2017 Express. It works fine. What would I gain by updating the firmware? I would like to be able to change the screen background. It doesn't appear I can do that right now.

2017 RAM 1500 w/ 8.4A (RA3 - No Nav) and was running on 17.43.01. Checked Chrysler's website for updates, and there was none available for me (Out of warranty).
Downloaded the "Ra3 VP3-NA My13-17 v18.45.01 Fw update Link. (official uC Update 1 11/1/19)"
Flashed the truck, update completed with no issues.
Now currently running 18.45.01

I just updated my UConnect 8.4AN Canadian version part # 68224537AC that came out of a 2015 Ram Sport to 17.43.01. My truck is a 2017 Express black out edition. I used 'C:\Users\brian rolfe\Documents\Personal\2017 Ram 1500\Radio Climate Upgrade\UCONNECT_8.4AN_RA4_17.43.01_MY14_NAFTA -CAmaybe.zip' and the software update instructions I also found in one of the first several posts in this thread. One of the first things it says to do is "For non-Keyless Enter-N-Go™ turn the ignition ON / start the engine." I did that and started the update and everything seemed to progressing as expected and with the expected screens according to the instructions but it took an hour to finish. I haven't been in the truck very long yet but it appears that everything is working as expected so far. My question is, did i really have to run the truck for an hour? Who want's to do that with a Ram 5.7? I suspect I could have just had the key in the run position and not had the truck running. Is this correct? After I live with this for a few days to make sure there are no bugs I will do the upgrade to 18.45.01.

You can also put a battery charger on it if you don't want to start the truck... The issue is that if the battery voltage drops too low during an update... It will very likely Brick the radio (can sometimes happen anyway).

Oh, ok, that makes sense. I still have to do the 18.45.01 update. I assume it like we takes quite a bit less time but I may just do it with the battery charger. We all know idling these hemis for a long time can possibly contribute to the lifter problems. Thanks for putting this thread together and collecting all of this info and thank for the additional info here! It's very much appreciated!

I have a 2015 RA3 (from a Cherokee) in my 2017 BigHorn. Currently at 15.30.2 and have been trying different files and reading the messages leads me to believe I need RA3 17.11.07 MY17 before I can go to 17.43.01 then 18.45.01. I have the latter 2 saved, but I am having trouble finding 17.11.07 for the 8.5A. Tried the RA4, but it told me I need the VP3 instead of VP4.
Where can I download the RA3 version of 17.11.03?

I tried that version. If I do 17.43.01 I get files not supported. I had 17.11.01 but for the RA4 and it said I need the VP3 not VP4. So I have determined that I need the 17.11.01 MY17 for RA3. It seems to be the only one I haven't tried and of course I can find RA4 ones all day long. I am currently at 15.30.2 if that matters. Seems it doesn't want me to go directly to 17.43.01

Just want to give a big thank you to @Mpgrimm2 for all the info on upgrading radio software and to report my success to help any other Canadians

2014 Ram 1500 for Canadian market, radio is 14 RA3/VP3-CA.

Started today with v13.51.11, P/N 68224538AH
UConnect says no further updates, but after a trip to the dealership for laggy volume controls and mic not working after last service, found out that my software was behind by what they claimed was 4 versions and would need a full day of tech time.
Post #9 on this thread had my FW (if you hover over the link in the post, you will see "_NAFTA" at the end, so it works for -CA radios as well!) :

Updated using those two files, got me from 13.51.11 to 17.43.01, P/N was updated to 68224538AN

One note: I didn't get multiple prompts to update FW versions, it almost looked like it was failing a couple times at first (it would say loading part 5/14, say, and then say it needed to restart and start from 1/14 again, did this a couple times). I was looking to see how I could recover what I thought was my bricked radio, but then realized my blower was on and that those controls went through the radio ECU, so I shut that off (pressed "Off" on the fan speed dial), and once I did that, it completed all 14 parts and declared it was at 17.xx.xx. Coincidence or solution, I'm not sure.

Then it was this link from Post #3 of the thread you're in now (another post by Mpgrimm2 said that this is a broad update due to GPS sync bug):

So my advice for anyone looking to upgrade a Canadian unit: look for the "_NAFTA" in the FW file!

Got in touch with the company that sold and installed to radio to which they gave me the 18.45.01 update files but I couldn’t get the update process started on my radio. I stumbled upon this post with the diagram saying my firmware needed to be taken to the dealer and wondering if that’s going to be expensive, if so is it maybe worth going aftermarket instead of trying to retain to the head unit?

You have to update the radio to v17.xx.x before you can go to v18.45.x.

Can't say if the 14 ram 8.4 Ra4 v17.xx.x files here would be compatible or not with a Durango version PN.

I tried the Ram files and they were incompatible like you said although it was nice to see it finally do something for once. Any idea how I could get the right version?

Can the person you got the radio from get you the 17.11.x or 17.43.x file for it?

Otherwise you need the vin of a Durango with that same year/model radio and take a blank USB drive to a dealer and see if you can get them to download it on the drive for you (cost $$ most likely)

I'm going to email the company again tomorrow to see if they can verify which vehicle it came from.

*Update* After trial and error I was able to find the compatible file, I installed the 2015 Ram 17.11.x files on the unit and will update after trying 18.45.x.

*Update2* 18.45.01 was successfully installed on the unit and everything seems to be working fine. The navigation says it needs calibrating but I’ll do that tomorrow.

I appreciate the work you’ve done providing the files needed for people like me to update their radio thank you!

@Mpgrimm2 I have a 2014 RAM 2500 CCLB 6.7L that originally had the 5.0 Radio. I upgraded to a 2016 8.4 RA3/VP3 Canada version with dealer installed Navigation. I upgraded the 8.4 to the 2016 RA3/VP3-NA 17.43.01 file first then to the 2016 RA3/VP3-NA 18.45.01 file next. The fact it was a Canadian radio did not cause me any issues, so far. Just wanted to share this info.
