Good video. I'm just going to toss out there that while some people said that the old gasket pulled right off, mine was ON there. It would not pull up what-so-ever. I used a razor blade to slowly remove the gasket but it still left a layer of foam and glue. I then had to Goo-B-Gone, scrape, scrub, and then clean the surface before I was able to put the new gasket on.

I'm putting that out there so that people don't expect (like I did) that it's a quick 10 minute fix. It may be, but you might also have to put some work into it.

Mine was also a huge pain to get off. I had to carefully use a heat gun and a putty knife to get mine off completely. The foam was disintegrating but the glue that held it on was pretty tenacious

Good to know...I just finally got around to picking mine up at the depot had to have it shipped in. I am gonna install mine this week.got some nicer dry weather headed my way soon. I saw another member cut little notches so he could make the gasket bend around the whole assemble and he only put the 1 seam dead under the middle of the light. I thought that was pretty clever...just can't decide if I am gonna go with 2 seam method or the 1 seam approach. I haven't had my light off since new so I am anxious to see if there is any evidence of water and or dirt....I have never noticed a leak or any abundance of moisture in the vechicle on windows as dew ...so I hope it's good. I have lots of high end amps and equipment behind the rear seat and would be really upset if ever got wet sooo I am being proactive and upgrading the gasket....this material looks great as well....very pliable and rated for marine use. :happy107:

Problem is you still have the oem ****** gasket....so problem not solved.....we are replacing with another material because the oem is ****. Go back and read through the thread to see the process...the oem material breaks down.

You don't keep a truck long enough to notice :Big Laugh:

For me, I didn't get a leak (or at least notice) until about 5 years in...
