That's kind of what I was thinking, but that means I have to do both if I do a new Diff cover.

PML Inc cover. Powder coated textured red to put homage to Honda b series motors from when I first got into cars.

Fowler, that's an interesting cover. I like your red idea.

For those with the Mag-Hytec covers on their 4th gen 1500's, can you confirm how many quarts of gear oil is needed.

Thanks in advance.

it’s been a couple years, but IIRC it took about 3-1/2, then I drove around for few hundred miles to let it work around. After driving around I noticed a little chatter so I poured in the mopar additive and that seemed to top it off just right (I have 3.92 and LSD).

In summary.....Buy 4, pour in 3, check dipstick, drive around, recheck dipstick

I got the RL fluid from Nick

Damn i think i got the wrong kind. I got the redline 75-140 w/o the ns on the end. However the oil i got actually states "for limited slip differentials.

Why would you get NS for your factory LSD that actually requires FM? If you have the factory clutch driven LSD you want the one with FM already unless you want to add the FM yourself in which case then you do NS. The non NS one has FM in it already. If you had an Eaton Truetrac then youll want a fluid with no FM for sure as FM will not allow the gears to work as designed and you'll have a one legger in your hands.

How often are you guys changing diff fluid? My first change was close to 65000 miles. I'm at 40000 on this fluid now. Everything operates as it should just planning ahead. 20210106_163825.jpg
