Long tubes

Might be a stupid question, but I don't know the answer, so I'm asking. I have a 5.7 hemi. Thinking about adding long tubes. My question is, does this addition equate to increased decibels? Or can I tame the noise with mufflers?

So what ever you have for a catback now it will be louder if you go with long tubes and a catted y pipe. It will be even louder if you go with long tubes and a catless y pipe.

It can still be tame with the right exhaust.

I have the ARH longtubes with catted mids and Flowmaster single in, dual out muffler. I don’t think it’s that loud, but my neighbors may have something to say.

Yes, long tube headers will make your exhaust louder than without headers.

you can make it pretty tame for just cruzin around and start up, but the moment you jump on it is when you and everyone else notices you have headers. do it and never look back and i say screw em if they say its to loud. I f the neighbors ever say its to loud i just fire up the boat with a 496 and open headers and let it eat
