Not the usual LED fog light POD question

Was wondering if anyone has butchered there stock OEM fog lights and fitted something like these inside of them? Would it work?
Would these just tap into existing fog harness I assume, and perhaps cut the back of the fog light and place these inside the housing.

That's not a problem,

I think cutting into the fogs would be messy. I really don't see the point, these aren't that bright.

Been contemplating putting a set of LED pods inside my fog lights. I actually have seen it done on a truck on Instagram but can't find it for the life of me.

I've looked at some YouTube videos and these LED seem to be very bright. I'd like to experiment with a spare set of 13+ fogs or my own I'm thinking the light output would also increase as it would be using the scatter of the stock fog reflectors. For around 30-40 $ for a pair it might be worth the exercise.

Would anyone know what harness I'd need to get these connected to the factor harness without cutting?

Bigschlief another member on here posted about always wanting fog lights and he bought a pair for this use. He gave me the idea ( not directly)and inspiration to think about using these as perhaps DRL in the fog lights or just as fogs.

Reviews are good and bad like most el cheapo products. Some pics to digest. May go for the 20 dollar a pair set and try them for educational purposes.
Seems to be same manufacturer but rebranded at different price.

They are 1200Lm. Depending on if they are spot or flood, you could get some great light out of them. I have seen the Kawell flood pattern in the past and it is exactly that - a flood light - giving about 5 feet of throw for the light. Their spot patterns are great, in fact I have 4 4" Kawell 27w LED spot lights going onto my roll bar as soon as I find someone local with a heated garage that I can use. I tested mine out and the throw on these things are at least double that of the factory HID lights on the Rams...

I'm tempted to get the same ones you posted, only in amber color since the amber coloring will produce less glare in rain and snow, and have great reviews (one was from a professional truck driver who installed a pair of them and stated the amber color overpowers his headlights).

I attempted to cut open my stock '13 fog housing and mounting a square pod in there. The pod would of fit, but I couldn't get the housing open to do it. I ended up just going with the LED bulbs (3200lm each) instead. Very impressed with their output.

Looks like opening up the stock fog lights is going to be pain judging by what firemedic10584 said earlier.
I am assuming the fog lights cannot be oven baked for the lens to be removed? I think one would need a pair or at least one used one to experiment with. Perhaps thats the common sense route for me take initially. Or if one could cut open the back and have the LED assembly inserted partially or fully into the stock OEM fog lights from behind is another idea.
crazy_luck, My current fog light lens has the yellow film applied on it for that exact reason. So the light output would be yellow.
I am also considering although not legal in the USA to have an independent rear single bumper mounted red fog light LED. One I would only switch on in adverse weather conditions like fog and heavy rain. For visibility purposes only otherwise it would greatly cause glare for other road users which I would not want.

I bought these bulbs from China and so far so good, bright and no errors thrown, plus it was as simple as replacing the bulb.
