I feel for you but given we have 103 Wild fires burning, 100% of which are casued by humans, they don't have a lot of options till we get some significant rain. I do find it suspicous that we have so many fires and B.C. and Sask, who are just as dry have very few.

I totally agree with the closures. But it still sucks.

Got the other side done this morning.
I'm thinking about a filler panel out of 1/2 punch plate. Should look good.

Getting these cocksuckers square was a major PITA.

Got the rack done picked up some black tremclad 1/2 off at crappy tire today. Should call this build "everything on sale" ... LoL...

I will just paint it black for now as I don't want to powder coat it until after hunting season. Just in case I need to make changes. And the pipeline coating place is super busy during the summer anyways.

I can wait to paint this tomorrow. Can't believe I'm finally at the finish line.

Trying to figure out how high to make the side panels.

Thinking about making it the same height as the net.

I don't know what your plans are to access the bed's deck.
Your bed deck may be low enough to jump up on, but

On the 1 ton & above trucks , where i once worked, the trucks had a either a 2 or 3 step ladder.
The ladder rails were just the right size to fit between cross beams under the bed.

To operate it, we would lift the ladders end about 1 inch, ( that kept the ladder in place while driving ).
then we pulled the ladder out & lowered it, so we could climb up or down.

This morning there was an Air lift 5000 on warehouse deals for 430$ so that's on the way now.

Got started on my side panels. Much nicer working on small light **** ! Should look pretty good once black.
