I might have a used Billet Tech satin catch can for sale at the end on next week. Includes the hoses and Z bracket. It will fit your 16. Do your research and let me know if you might be interested. I'll put it in the "For Sale" section.

remember be careful once installed, the extra horsepower sneaks up on most people. I am quite sure Moe's sells cc's on this site. Happy shopping.

Ya! I'm sure ExpressRules was kidding ... But I posted the link for the OP.

I installed the Billet Technologies kit from Moes. The 'Z' bracket makes installation a snap.
The UPR catch can is very similar (has the z bracket) but I think it has a better oil catcher.
On eBay: search for: black billet catch can

Both of these come with the correct hoses and fittings.

These things aren't worth the price, there is no performance advantage at all. I have one on my truck use because I found a used one for less than 1/2 price of a new one, I only bought it because I will be driving my truck for the next 20 years and 20 years of build up is something to think about but for the average guy that trades his truck every few years save your money.

I trade my trucks every 2-3 years, the amount of sludge that builds up in the intake will blow your mind after even 6 months. The best advice given would be to install one the day of pickup wgeb truck is new

A catch can by itself is not going to show a performance increase, but if you did not have the catch can installed, Sean would not have been able to go as aggressive with your tuning. They are considered a performance upgrade when paired with a tuner.

For anyone with a tuner, I will go as far as to say a catch can is necessary to see its full benefits. For anyone without a tuner, a catch can is obviously not a necessity, but it definitely is not hurting anything either. I would much rather have the piece of mind that my intake, throttle body, and fuel are clean and not caked in built up oil.

Is this really an issue with these trucks when naturally aspirated? I've never heard of running a catch can on a N/A engine, only when boosted.

This is what I collect about every 2500 miles in my truck...

Why is the PCV even an issue on port injected motors? I feel like some salesman did a great job of convincing Ram owners they MUST have a catch can. No other port injected cars have such a catch can craze.

Direct injection, I completely understand why many feel a catch can is crucial.

Its not a Ram thing...its a hemi thing. Do some research on the hemi car forums, and you will find all the same info over there as well. A few of the car tuners flat out will not tune your hemi car if you dont have a catch can installed because of how much it affects these motors.

And again, a stock truck is not going to see any performance benefit by installing a catch can. For a stock vehicle, it really just comes down to keeping your intake and throttle body clean to reduce maintenance. The 3rd gen Ram's had an internal PCV, so you could not put a catch can on those motors. Guys are always complaining of poor performance, mileage, and throttle response, and it is because of all the oil buildup on the back of the throttle body and in the intake manifold. Having a catch can prevents this from happening.
