Premium cluster

Been eyeing a Rebel red cluster, but saving for the headers and tune.
Unless there's a deal I can't pass up.

See. Funny thing you can always buy a regular cluster and change out the lens to the red trim(if that’s what you want) @R.L.K. He did this and just changed the lens out and bam he had the red trim lens for the cluster and the lens is only like $75.

I just looked up cluster surgeon on Ebay
Programming shipping and part
The total was $489
I got it in 3 days i believe and it said used but it looked brand new no scratches whatsoever

Update i also found out today it tells you what gear your locked in and present gear while driving. Before my gear swap i was always locked in 5th gear and couldn't find this feature in the tradesman cluster

just a thought. does anyone know if with this guys from ebay, if they can display in km/hr, km on odometer as well through settings? or are these mph only? not a deal breaker but if i went to sell my truck at some point, likely would be an issue.

It’s just like the basic cluster. You can press right to change KM or MPH. The only big thing would be the actual odometer reads in MPH with KM on the inside

speedometer you mean, but i get it. as long as there is km/hour speedo and km odometer display, not a biggie. when i had my cadillac cts-v everything was customizeable so i used to leave my speedo in mph, everything else was in metric. lol.

It’s totally worth every penny. I love mine!!! Just keep your eye out on eBay and put some money to the side. That’s what I did until I came across a 2018 cluster for under $300.

Remember right now if you have AlfaOBD you can program your idle and drive hours. Right now we can’t do the mileage programming but that should be coming soon enough.

This is one reason i chose this guy.
I priced a few that i could have gotten cheaper but then paid to have it programmed and if programmer wasn't local paying the shipping to and from them
With this guy he answered my questions regarding my application
Programmed it and got it to me very quickly
So if i had to drive the truck it was very minimal
Also good customer service seems so difficult to find these days i was very willing to give him my business
And he did not disappoint

One thing to consider when ordering a cluster. Allow for 1000 miles or so that way you don't have to stop driving until the new one comes in and you can change it out at your convienance. I'd also take lots of pictures before and after showing all the readings related to hours and mileage. That way you can prove it wasn't tampered with.

He did ask me how many miles to add to mine for my daily driving average i have another car i daily so i had him add only 10 mile
But he said he can add whatever i needed him to

Is it really this/that easy to change the mileage/hours on these?
I know that there are ways unfortunately to clock back the hours but being someone that usually buys used how is anyone really able to know the true mileage/hours on a truck?

Your cluster actually holds your mileage independently from the truck and your *brain* of your truck does also. I have not seen a way to actually check the true mileage yet but I’m sure the dealer is able to access that info.

I’m sure 99.9% of newer cars are legit mileage most people wouldn’t bother with hassle and legal risk. I know a few guys that had their leases clocked back substantially to save a few grand. Crappy thing to do

Yeah. You have to change it in more than that Cluster itself. It is stored and populated in a few spots. I don’t know exactly where but it’s true. That’s sad people do that. IMO if you can pay for it don’t drive it.
