Redline vs Valvoline restore and protect

Just wondering how good redline is a cleaning compared to Valvoline restore and protect? I know redline has more moly. Just comparing cleaning effects.

Redline high detergency and polar esters, your engine will be clean, we know R&P cleans too. If you don't have hemi tick, run R&P 5w30, if you have hemi tick run 5w30 redline, is how I would roll. Why spend redline dollars if you don't have extra benefit? It just so happens I have/had hemi tick, so I'm stuck running the redline.

It looks like you have a 2017, how many miles? I know when I made the decision to go to redline about ten years ago (from info on this forum) was due to high mileage and prevention. My 2014 had about 70k on it when I switched. I had a little bit of tick, it took care of it. My 2012 had 116k on it when I purchased it 8 years ago, no tick, but it's tuned for the 1/4 mile, so it wants you to step on it all the time. Driving it around town requires learning how to work the pedal and I don't have to race to move, but it needs to be pressured more than normal or the shift points can get real wonky. For that reason and high mileage, I use redline as well. Overall, redline is good for long term prevention and if always used, seems to keep everything clean. R&P appears it may be better for cleaning quickly. It's just me, but if I ever buy a new HEMI, I'm just going to run redline from day one. Maybe it may make sense for you to run R&P for awhile to really clean it up and then move to redline go forward. I guess there is a lot to contemplate here on what would be best for your situation. That R&P does look great for the price though (half the cost of redline) and I'd probably consider it as a candidate if redline wasn't an option. Since oil is generally an annual swap, an extra $50 bucks or so is inconsequential for me considering a gas tank cost $100+ to fill up on a regular basis. Here's a little bit of comparison info.
