Its been awhile since I had posted anything. Life has been super busy. But taxes have been filed and almost spent. The last thing I wanna do is get my rims looking good with the new shoes I got for my truck. I tried the plasti dip before. It just peels right off during the summer of 100+ weather and a combination of desert running. I really dont wanna rattle can it, since it might do the same thing, and powdering coating seems the best, but there is really no dyi way of doing it. I was thinking maybe putting some bedliner stuff on it. I have some leftover from when I did the bed of my truck. is it even possible to do so? or has anyone done it before?

It would work if you don't get it on the inner lip of the wheel. Another thing to think about is how hard it would be to a bad scratch or scrape. I would try to use a wheel paint first, it would be easier to fix if you had any issues.

Well, I went with a rhino lining shop, guy said that he'd do it for $35 a rim, and I thought since its spray... it would be more even, instead of me doing it myself and possibly getting it thicker in some spots and then it would be harder to balance them

I swear I remember reading a how to DIY powder coating before. Not sure if a rim would fit in your oven... or if your wife would shoot you for finding out what you are using the oven for... and you most likely wont want to eat food cooked in it after.

I like them, they will look even better when they are mounted, and its true rhino lining as well and on top of that its the extreme mixture... so its even harder than the original mix, the guy said they sprayed a WHOLE truck before and held up for a couple years, since the guy is a hunter...
