Not sure if its a sale, or always this cheap. Just got 2 CASES (24 quarts) of Royal Purple 5w-20 and 4 Royal Purple oil filters (20-820) off AMAZON for $179 shipped FREE w/ super saver shipping. Looks like they give you the filters

That's $7.45 a quart and $54 worth of FREE filters!!

Suck this offer up while you can!!!

Figured I'd pass on the word. This is over 40% off the auto store prices.

Great deal. If you purchase 12 quarts, you get 2 oil filters free. Add them to cart and they're deducted at checkout. Thanks for sharing!

Amazon gives you 2 free filters, go with that. Ebay is a little cheaper if you don't need a filter. RP filters are good, all synthetic is better then the paper filters.

RP filters are very well made and are great for extended OCIs. Wanting to pull the trigger on this deal, but already have a few of these filters. So tempting!

Sounds pretty good but I can get Amsoil for cheaper than that. Would someone do a oil test so I can see how good this oil is?

It's been done a million times, Amsoil is better stuff. here's Amsoil's test, funny even though it was Amsoil's test Redline did pretty darn good.

AMSOIL vs Royal Purple Motor Oil

Well then I guess I am right when I say royal is charging you for purple dye.

I've run both RP and Amsoil. Both are quality synthetics. Mobil 1 is another quality synthetic. Take your pick of the lot because, you can't go wrong with any of those brands. All the we are better hoopla is just to get your business.

Not exactly, RP is still real good oil. And probably better in racing where HP is the only concern. But if you wanted extended oil change intervals and the best protection, there are better choices. Still RP is way better then Dino oil, and this is a good deal. If your truck is in warranty, this deal would be good because you really shouldn't have long oil change intervals because it goes against the owners manual. 6000 miles or 6 months like the book says is perfect for Royal Purple IMO.

If you don't want to run extended drains then run XL it would easily make the 8000 or less recommendation of the manual. I am not saying RP is comparable to Dino oil I am saying it is not as good as Redline and Amsoil but is inline in price so you are paying for synthetic oil with dye. I have never seen a wear study where royal beat the other two that is why I am curious how it does on extended drain not just a ball bearing test.
