I just bought some pacesetter headers an plan to buy the off road y pipe an delete the cats, is there any downside to this? I don't have emissions an realize about the rear o2s an throwing a code there. I plan to get an sct after the exhaust for custom tuning, I've heard of people sayin they loose noticeable low end an I really don't wanna loose any power( don't have enough as it is)

The only downside I'm seeing on my 4.7l is the loss in low end. I even noticed it with my 4.56s. It was upsetting. Sean turned the rear sensors off so no more CEL.

I have been thinking about reinstalling them just to get the loss back. I'm hoping the converter will bring it back because I love the way my exhaust sounds now.

lost low-end on mine as well and that was with 4.56 too. With your 260 it might not be as dramatic of a loss though since that is a fairly torquey cam.

The smell and sound drove me nuts too. exhaust note didn't sound good.

I have no regrets dropping the cats !! I haven't noticed any smell but didn't have any cats on any of my mustangs either.

i say leave the cats. I aswell kept my stock cats when i did my headers. Same way Ryan did.
only thing i did differently was we welded the cat to the end of the header instead of putting a pipe between them.

I'm running no cats but have a cam/ head combo that allowed it to still have low end. I will agree with Ryan you will smell the truck running like an old muscle car. When I played with the bullet and stock rear pipe exit the smell was moved back and you wouldn't notice it as bad. With the single chamber dumped before the axle you can smell it a lot more esp if your just sitting there idling. Some of what I'm smelling though is my tuner has alill more fuel at idle in p/n .
