Took me about 2hrs. Took my time and it was a breeze. I didn't even have to bend the ac lines. I just loosened them and tightened them back up when I was done. Did you guys use the plug for the lower part of the intake? I left it off and I'm wondering if water from the car wash will get up there? It also rains a lot here in Vancouver BC. Should I be concerned?

I left mine off as well. Went through some severe rain on the interstate and standing water and no issues on my end I've ran 6500 miles so far with it FWIW. I am not to worried with leaving it off. I'll keep an eye on mine with snow though but still should be fine.

The plug on the bottom being off will not get any water into your intake. I have probably 30,000 miles or more on mine and have driven thru some pretty deep water with zero issues. The opening on top allows it to breathe even when the bottom is covered with water.

So going through the car wash shouldn't be an issue?

I just took it for a 10min spin and noticed better throttle response and it sounds great when I open it up :)

No the car wash will not get water into it. The top clear cover on mine has a gap on each side when screwed on, so I used foam camper seal to seal it better and that helps when I wash the engine off. Plus it MAY keep the hot engine air from going into the intake. Glad you like yours. I like mine alot, too.

I also left the lower cap off of mine as well. I have driven through water that was 3' deep a couple times since, and haven't had any trouble.

I installed mine yesterday. I wish I unscrewed the AC line and reinstalled it afterwards. I had a hard time bolting the box to the frame because of it. I might have to resituate it later.

Ya at first I started to bend the ac line and then I said screw that. So I followed the instructions and just loosened it. Rhat gave me just the right amount of extra room needed. Fit like a glove after that!! :D

It said to loosen it and move it forward, but mine was all the way forward. I couldn't move it any more.

hmm i dont recall having ac line issues with mine, but i did cover the bottom up, from what i recall i think the instruction paper said it gets better performance out of the intake. i wonder if i can take the plug out the bottom without uninstalling the intake

The instructions showed that more air was flowing through and giving better performance without the plug.

Rough I just had to loosen it and tighten it back up once the box was bolted in.

So far I love the intake. My throttle reaponse is way better and it sounds awesome. I went with the dry filter because there is no difference performance wise bwtween the 2. With the dry filter I was told It is less maintenance and I could blow it out @ 20k miles and use it for around 40-50k miles.
