Why are you saying the 5.7 requires only straight 5/20 no mixes or anything else? Because FCA says so? If you have a factual answer please enlighten us as many of us including myself are running 5/30 or mixes other than straight 5/20 with no issues.Hemi 5.7 requires all 5w-20, not mixed.
6.4 is just a different engine, mostly. And I think its only in the 2500 or higher, so its a "heavier duty" application engine.
The thought about mixing for the 5.7L is because the 20W side is thought to be a little thin for a big honkin 8 cylinder engine, along with the fact that the engine seems to prefer oil with as much molybendum as you can get.
PUP 0W-40 has a good amount of moly in it
PUP/PP 5W-20 or 5W-30 has less but still has some.
Redline has a ton but isnt something you can usually buy locally.
Oddly enough, even Pennzoil conventional has a decent amount of moly in it, but then you dont get the advantages of synthetic.
Another possibility is the latest formulation of Pennzoil Gold (synth blend), but I havent seen a VOA/UOA on it yet to be sure.
