PUP 0w40 is a special oil, super clean GtL base, high moly, good additives, high detergency, light 40 weight, was designed for the 6.4 Hemi Penzoil/Ram cooperation, you can't go wrong with that choice.

I noticed, while picking up some 5w30 redline, that the store also had 5w40...any better than the 5w30? They don't carry 0w40.

Non racing oil , regular street oil ? Blue label ...
I don't believe I've heard of a 5W-40 RL .

I think the red lable is racing oil , not intended for street use . It's for short hard runs only , this is the street oil.

It's very important to use the motor oil , as the race oils have very high additives designed for very hard running and very short oci's ...

Here's a picture of the label. No where on the front or back does it mention racing. The back description indicates designed for passenger cars, light trucks, performance vehicles and marine applications. So I guess it's the same blue label as the small quart bottles. If the blue label was red, then it would be the racing oil?

That's the right stuff friend , so they had 5W-40 motor oil , very interesting & thanks for your post Sir , I learn something everyday on this Forum [emoji16]

Has anyone ever done a UOA on redline 5/20? I know Burla said the 5/20 cured his tic but he decided to go with 5/30. According to the spec sheet it's just a hair away from being a 5/30 and if it don't shear down probably better than some 5/30's.
