I've run it. Came highly recommended by @Travis8352.
Here is my truck on hot idle with it.

Dare I say, it sounded smoother than when it was running Redline.
Boron is a soft, sacrificial metal additive, such as Zinc. Which is best? Well, a new thread could be started and an entire new filibuster might ensue! I've gotta go to the store and get more popcorn! ;)

Sorry, not good enough - without a known ticking engine test result.

Well, interestingly enough, that was the 2nd fill of Mobil 1 0w40 just after I replaced the lifters on the ticking engine. The idea was to prevent a tick.
I'm sorry, but you left the door open for this one! Just don't start the engine! There! Tick is prevented! LOL!

I am teasing you! So don't get mad, please!

If what you are doing works, then, there ya go! Peace!

Oh no I'm tossing out my 4 cases of redline as we speak and running down to autozone and gonna pick up the m1. But seriously, this is why I like what Corey has done and shared with us, after all his products that failed, when he tried a 0w40 he saw good results against hemi tick. Now Brian will say long term bad idea to put that many vii's into an engine when you don't have to because there is a 5w30 that will accomplish at a minimum the same thing, but has potential to be the best tick killer available, and he is right too. There is no wrong answer, just a choice, and one thing we didn't test on the board as much was the use of 0w40 to fight tick, there is potential here. When you consider the when not to use redline thread that was a result of years of reports here, wouldn't trying the 0w40 in a high mileage engine that never seen redline, be the less risky move? Especially if that 0w40 is pao based? I would look into engine cleaners if this was my LONG term strategy, but it is a legit strategy as Corey has shown us. Didn't work for TJ, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth a try especially with redlines availability issues and price. Some ticks respond to viscosity changes, some ticks respond to additives, and the one good thing about redline 5w30 is it provides BOTH, which is probably why it is effective in more engines.

I'm not entirely sure that M1 FS 0w40 is a tick killer. I would more liken it to a good oil to use for your 3 - 5k mile oil changes that is more readily available than Redline. Redline wasn't in stock when I replaced the lifters and being outside of the US, I was certainly stuck. M1 FS 0w40 fit the bill and came recommended on this very thread. It is everywhere and in every part shop here in Dubai. So it is a good one to use in a place where access to Redline is sometimes in question. At least that was the idea in my case. The downside is that it costs almost the same as Redline 5w30 over here in Dubai.
In terms of performance, the oil was great. I changed the oil every 5000 kms (approx 3k miles).
In the US, I guess you guys would have it far cheaper than Redline. So if someone is looking for a decent good oil to use, M1 FS 0w40 would be my first recommendation, followed by Valvoline Advanced 5w30 and Havoline Pro DS 5w30 after that.

Starting the vinegar diet today, had anyone tried this? I feel as if I am being lied too, bragg vinegar with mother says 0 calories, is that possible? Anyhow, I am doing it more for blood sugar then weight, but if anyone has personal experience let me know, like how many times a day and best times IE before meals at bedtime etc. Gonna try it 30 days see if any of the stuff is true.

I tried it several times. All it did for me was burn.

So I ran down and tried it wanting to know what sherm was talking about, yup it burns all the way down. Chasing it with water helped a bit, my guess I will abandon this at some point soon. Half way want to hurl my beautiful Irish stew and bread breakfast I just ate prior. HMM. I do have a blood sugar issue, the pre diabetic thing, thus wanting to avoid medicine looking for alternatives. Now maybe medicine ain't so bad, lol.

If you are trying to address blood sugar and diabetes and avoid medicine, I highly recommend researching a Keto/Paleo diet. It worked for me. I started it in 2018 when I got on a scale and was topping 200 Lbs. (Had been 150-160 forever) Dropped 40lbs and kept it off for the past 6 years.

It's hell at first, but once you get past the carb cravings, the weight comes off easily. Does wonders for your blood sugar. I was having all kinds of lightheadedness and pre-diabetes sugar issues. All that is gone now. Trust me, I do miss pasta, bread and potatoes, but it's not worth feeling like crap after eating it.

The real killers in our food are seed oils, HFCS and excessive carbohydrates. The "food pyramid" pushed for the last 50 years is flat out wrong when it comes to controlling blood sugar.

My wife was pre-diabetic and we switched to a Paleo diet about 10 years ago. We were super strict with this diet for about 2 years and her blood sugar quickly got under control. As @Lysergic stated, the hardest part for me was turning my body from a sugar burner (carbs) to a fat burner. I really had no energy and my muscles felt weak after about 3 weeks into the diet. This lasted for about 2 days but once I got over that hump, I just feel better and have more energy.

We do cheat once in awhile but as long as carbs are kept to a minimum we don't notice any ill effects. We completely avoid processed foods, products with seed oils and severely restrict our intake of typical wheat based products. When we do eat pasta and breads, we use flour and pastas made from Einkorn wheat, which is the original, non-genetically modified wheat. This diet has become more of a lifestyle for us and while it does take some planning and definitely does cost more, how do you put a price on your health? It does help that we both like to cook, and we each have our specialties so this makes it easier.

I wish you luck on your journey to staying healthy and avoiding what very well might be unnecessary drugs, @Burla.

Nice note, stay healthy and happy.

Sorta like the same, having an "oil strategy" for the GEN III HEMI keeping it's chances lower for possible cam and lifter failure.

The Irish stew and other offerings from them are cooked by "sous vide" and I am hooked on this style food, my dentist first turned me on to this. I mean meat as good as you can possibly get it. I'm not sure if mommamancinis is as well, but it is possible also cooked really well. Try whole foods if you have one near by? We owe it to ourselves to eat good food. For me it goes both ways, when I eat good I always tell myself to earn that steak I just ate as in effort not money. Ever since my diagnose, I have to eat a version of Paleo, I have zero energy if I eat carbs. I do cook a lot, but it is also nice to take a break, and these are a couple great options.
