Dont forget dexos R lolnot confusing at all, lol?
Dexos D and Dexos 2 are both engine oils from General Motors (GM) that are designed for different types of vehicles and have different features:
- Dexos D
This low viscosity oil is formulated for light-duty diesel engines and is designed to excel in extreme temperatures. It also helps maintain power and fuel efficiency, and provides clean engine operation. Dexos D oils meet or exceed the performance of Dexos 2 oils and are backward compatible.
- Dexos 2
This oil is designed for diesel and some petrol-driven vehicles, and is recommended for European light-duty diesel engines and gasoline engines. It's also designed to meet Low SAP requirements for vehicles with exhaust treatment devices like Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs). Dexos 2 oils are based on API Group III base oils and are SAE 5W-30 and 5W-40. They're also designed to reduce wear and keep the engine clean.

um largest emitter of methane = wetlands, should we ban those too? lolNo can do - horses emit methane, they must be banned.
Its ok, lithium mining is great for the planetum largest emitter of methane = wetlands, should we ban those too? lol
For the planets sake, ban the planet.
That's what the extreme greenies are after, except, they want to ban humans.................For the planets sake, ban the planet.
So what group is full synthetic? But you use PUP now? Are you not using redline anymore?I understood Amsoil SS is all PAO Group IV (sans ester oil needed to carry additives).
Red Line is a blend of PAO Group IV and POE Group V
HPL P+ and SC are all PAO Group IV (sans ester oil needed to carry additives).
OCI's are shorter again thanks to EPA mucking up engine designs, therefore running a pure synthetic base oil isn't worth it anymore. I use PUP which is a Group III+ GTL, poor man's Group IV base oil. Good enough. Oil Geek just tested to show it is better than Dexos 1 oil.
Mobil has mucked around so much I have no idea what they've done, nor will they say anything but "trust us". Remember, the court ruled "synthetic" includes catalytic cracked, hydrotreated crude oil, which is Group III. Before the court ruling, only PAO and PEO were synthetic.
My tiny self requires either a Clydesdale or Percheron - but look at the HP gains I could have with one of these vs a standard hose. Got to be at least 5 to 1horse and buggy?
Well, all those people with black particulate deep in their lungs are likely happy about diesel soot cleanup. What's left? They wrecked diesels with their exhaust aftertreatment factories.
Now, THAT's Horsepower!Belgian Draft Horses for the win. Great Grandfather was a feller in Northern Wisconsin during the Weyerhaeuser deforestation days.

I've run it. Came highly recommended by @Travis8352.Moly too low for me, no evidence of tick-killer. If'n we're all tryna keep our trucks to the end, it's a non-starter for me, regardless of price.
We don't know if Boron makes up for Moly, nor if lack of ester base stock (in addition to ester for additive solubility) can kill tick.
