All the talk about additives, I can just hear Lakespeed Jr. in my head saying, "if you using additives in your oil, you're using the wrong oil." LOL

Golden Parachutes are expertly packed and ready to deploy at a moment's notice.Obviously time for more executive bonuses.

Put in blackstone thread, it is a very popular oil for hemi.
HPL guys, which formula high moly, low ca, high mag, and low pao? esters and group 3 ok. For perfect di oil.
I heard a rumor, in about 8 days gas engines making a big time comeback.
However, who makes good gas engines anymore? That is another discussion, does anyone have brand loyalty anymore? Does anyone consider themselves a Mopar guy or a Ford guy? Funny Chevy just discoed the Camaro which is leading to a crisis in NASCAR as they will have a vehicle not in production, I think the first time in their history. I seriously doubt anything new will be worth owning.
I would be surprised if you have not already seen this, but in the event that you have not, here is a collection of VOA's, including 3 for PUP 5W-30 SP. These tests are now a couple of years old; not sure if the formula has changed since then. VOA'sBack to synthetics -
since a bunch of us have GDI turbo vehicles, which includes the new Stellantis Hurricane engine, I want to get a comparative VOA / UOA of PUP 5W-30 in the latest API SP formula.
This engine architecture is very different the naturally-aspirated, port-injected HEMI engines. As far as we know, the new engines aren't cam-eaters....they're almost all overhead camshafts anyway, with direct oiling. So no super additives needed.
What they do have is added heat and stress from the turbos, and if only a single GDI injector per cylinder, soot and fuel diluting the crankcase oil. I want to see if VII sheardown is excessive and if the oil is saturated with contamination.
We just changed oil on the Mazda CX-5 engine this weekend with PUP 5W-30 SP from a 3 jug boxed order. My plan is to take the samples after winter 5k OCI miles. Should I put the results in Blackstone, even though it's not a Ram truck result? Or bury it in the "Other Makes" Forum?

I'm using this oil in a turbo 4 banger with dual injection. Not sure that I will stick with it long term but for now I feel that it is better than the recommended 0W-20. I will be looking for your test results and thanks in advance for posting them.
I personally like the GM 6.6L in the HD trucks. Pushrod V8 with no AFM.
