haha...It was definitely a chore trying to get the truck up on the flatbed. And his truck was sagging pretty bad.

I also have had a minor transfer case leak that they are going to be fixing under warranty for me as well, so this is working out OK. I have to say, this is the first time I have been happy with my local dealership when it comes to warranty work. It sucks not having a vehicle, but I'm glad it is getting taken care of.

The guy I'm working with at the dealer is acting like it wont be a problem. I'm going to butter them up by letting them change the oil, tranny fluid, and the front/rear diff fluids while they have it. These things needed to be done anyways, so maybe that will help my chances of them taking care of the tie rod. I never got a notice in the mail about the recall, but I am also the 2nd owner of the truck. I wonder if that is why I didn't receive the notice?

Shouldn't matter you are the second owner. They go by DMV records when doing the recalls.

That's a bummer Matt, but glad it's working out really well for you at dealer! :)

My truck had to be flat bedded a couple of years ago. The sentry key remote entry locked up due to an electrostatic discharge from the ignition to WCM. There was a TSB for the issue. Replaced and all was good. Chit happens.

Could have been worse for sure, Glad it Turned out OK.

Same Thing happened to me at work a month ago, 03 2500 Ram Hemi same part same side. Luckily was slowing down for a left turn and was only doing 30, as the pull right immediately into the ditch (was braking same time) was rather smooth as it was soft sand.

Nice Truck BTW!

Damn, that sucks! Glad to hear the dealer is taking care of you. I hate when I hear that a persons warranty isn't being honored due to a lift or some BS like that!

Just to finish this off, can we get a pic of you driving your wife's Corolla, Matt?

Gald you weren't hurt Matt.

Even happier that its under warranty.

Maybe a little selfish, but I've been saving my pennies for some mods and I bet if you got hit with a big repair bill, Moe's would have to raise your prices. Then I'd be that much further away from my mods. :driver:

I bet the same clown that undersized Dodge ball joints and left out a zerk in 1998-03 Durangos and Dakotas designed the 2500 front end. :flamingdevil:

So when are you going to start stocking steering and control arm parts for 2500's ?

:waytogo:

I got the truck back on Monday, and everything is good to go now. I'm driving the truck to Florida in a few weeks, so I just changed the oil, tranny fluid, bought some new tires, greased all the suspension components, and cleaned her up again. It feels like a new truck right now.

I need to run through my truck and refresh it. Having the interior out to add bass made that a whole lot better. Need to get more interior detail spray. I'm tempted to get some Adam's stuff, but I really love Meguire's Natural Shine and see no reason to stray from it.

Glad they took care of you, that's a scary part to have fail!

What tires did you end up going with? You may be coming to my neck of the woods, where in Florida are you heading?

Dude, I just got my KIT from them with the interior detail spray and its awesome. I've used the Meg's and this blows it away. Plus it gives an SPF when done.
