The guy I'm working with at the dealer is acting like it wont be a problem. I'm going to butter them up by letting them change the oil, tranny fluid, and the front/rear diff fluids while they have it. These things needed to be done anyways, so maybe that will help my chances of them taking care of the tie rod. I never got a notice in the mail about the recall, but I am also the 2nd owner of the truck. I wonder if that is why I didn't receive the notice?

Just to finish this off, can we get a pic of you driving your wife's Corolla, Matt?

I got the truck back on Monday, and everything is good to go now. I'm driving the truck to Florida in a few weeks, so I just changed the oil, tranny fluid, bought some new tires, greased all the suspension components, and cleaned her up again. It feels like a new truck right now.

I need to run through my truck and refresh it. Having the interior out to add bass made that a whole lot better. Need to get more interior detail spray. I'm tempted to get some Adam's stuff, but I really love Meguire's Natural Shine and see no reason to stray from it.
Glad they took care of you, that's a scary part to have fail!
