It's no update really...

Well I'm going to make an order with theragcompany.com, so I was cleaning my truck and going through which of my microfibers needed to be replaced and what not. Well one thing let to the other and I did a correction to the entire passenger side of the truck. Holy crap white is harder to work than black.

Well nothing new to show for the truck. Got to use some of my newer products and have a trip this weekend, needed to clean the big girl up.

Next time I have a weekend that's free, I'm going to work the paint on her. She's definitely has her defects.

Well it's been over a year with the truck and I figure it's time to do something to the truck. While I want a bed cover, it isn't really required. I would love wheels and tires, but don't need that yet. Haven't found a good place to paint all my chrome parts either. What else could I go with? I wanted to learn to detail paint and the proper way to clean my cars, I think I've learned well. What now?

Well I decided to try to retrofit a set of headlights. I found this a set of quad lights for a cheap price that have been painted. Figured that would be a good start. I've seen that Morimoto Mini H1 projectors are a good fit in the quad lights. So I'll build this set and learn the ways before I try on my currently installed housings. Now just awaiting shipping. I'll be repainting the housing some shade of white and black, but not exactly sure just what yet.

Well decided to get a bit of work done on these. Got the housing apart. Whomever painted them did an interesting job. Looked ok until I threw a coat of white on them. On the one you can in the turn signal housing, the paint has raised up on two small ridges. And in the main housing, there seems to be a little bit of build up. I'll get those areas sanded down and before the next coat. Other housing looks better, but has some strange dent in it. Not sure how that came to be.

Projectors should be here tomorrow or friday. Would love to get them all buttoned up and put on this weekend!

Thank you sir. I'm still debating if I want to have white shrouds or black. And also If I want to paint the turn signals black from hind to give them a dark orange look or just paint them black. Thinking just blacking them out would look best.

The actual ring that goes around the projector. This is what it would look like.

I'd say either white or with just a little accents maybe. I've seen them paint just parts and look good. Would take some taping though, lol.

I would definitely take some time, but I might give them a shot. If I'm patient enough lol

After a rebuild of the lights, they are finished and sealed up. I'll let the silicone set over night and I'll get them on tomorrow.

Thanks! Hopefully they look and preform as I expect and I'll get the remainder of the chrome taken care of!
