Transmission pan gasket and gouged surface.

i just got the new Mag trans pan. I read somewhere that someone recommended NOT using the gasket that came with it. What did most people on here use? The gasket that came with it or Mopar RTV? Or???

I should also mention that I left a small gouge in the transmission pan mounting surface. Oops!! Will that effect which gasket is best?

I always use ultra black RTV, I've never had a leak.

I never use a gasket always gasket maker. Black RTV is really good but I don’t like the dry time. I would do “the right stuff” it is amazing you can put it back together and go no waiting.
