UNLOCKED ECM ?

I'm wonder what the nature is of an "Unlocked" ECM is.

The only thing that makes sense is that it is "writable" for a programmer like the Diablo.

Is that it?

to be able to use a tuner (programmer) is exactly what it is for

2015+ truck have locked ECM, like previously said you need an unlocked ECM to use a tuner.
