That flexplate in only for the LX cars that run the NAG1, it will not bolt to our 545/65rfe's torque converter.

You should know lol you sold me one of those SFI jobbies and its getting beat on too! (Thank you Sir). Op the stock flex on our truck is pretty tough and i would say unless you go to a high RPM stall and go over say 425 HP i would not worry about it. I am guessing the 4th Gen Plate is probably better given the increase in HP over a 3rd Gen like mine. Charonblk07 do they make one for our trans? Any thoughts on what i am guestimating above and that is only comparing it to my LX Build and lessons learned by others doing a 3k stall. Danny

There is a company that makes a SFI rated flexplate for the hemi/545 but I've had trouble finding them. My stock one's holding up just fine behind my engine and it's getting beat on too. I believe Bill does make/supply one for the hemi/545 but you need to call him directly and order it.

thanks for answer my question , I was just thinking that a lighter flex plate will help free up some horsepower and also help reving up the engine like a lighter flywheel on cars.

Is there any possibilities to install LX flexplate with LX Torque converter on our truck or we don't have the same input shaft in the transmission ? And wondering if we do this mod , it still allow us to tow the same way .

The Nag-1 is made by mercedes. Phone the Guy Bill if you really want a stronger plate but as Charonblk said the stock one is doing fine on his above avg Mill! I tow with my truck and have a 2600 stall which is as much as i was willing to go. Not sure what kind of towing feel you would get with a 2800, but given the 4th gens have more power stock you would probably be ok depending on wt of the trailer.

A lighter flexplate will definitely free up some power, every ounce of rotating mass you drop will make a difference, but it's diminishing returns and really only needs to be done on bigger builds that can't just bolt on another 50hp. The SFI plate I know of is 5oz less than stock but for the life of me I can't remember the brand.manufacturer.

Totally different TCs, won't work at all between the 2 different transmission; in this case it's definitely square peg into a round hole. Unless you're making 600ft-lb then you'll be fine for towing and the SFI one I've known runs in an 800hp truck, trans blows but flexplate's fine.

The flexplate is the least of our worries in these trans. lol

LX trans is the not the same as the 545...
Maybe get a custom one made if you really want one.
