Any idea what the cost would be??
Tree branch did not like my hood so all my trees must die. Thinking of replacing with a fiberglass Ram Viper hood and have it painted to match with red trim. Anyone have good/bad luck with fiberglass hoods on full size trucks??View attachment 150069 View attachment 150070
Can I come park at your house? I need a tree to fall on my stock hood!

My trees are dying thats why I was waiting for my tractor to get here to start trimming but now its scorched earth time. If it had been my 2001 or 99 it wouldnt have hurt as much.
I guess more damage would be needed in order for the homeowners deductible to make sense on somewhat making out. Sucks. Your going in the direction I would though if I had to replace the hood.
Aside from the inconvenience, it's gonna look good with a custom hood when all is said and done.
Since it only damaged the hood and and not structure I dont think a claim would be worth it plus if i make a claim and another tree takes out my Roadrunner or Cuda, one of my other toys before I can cut they will say to bad. 1969 Roadruuner is harder to replace.
I think this is the same company

I would get a Cai that opens up the lid of the air box so you could use the functionality of that “ Ram Air” .. like the K&N with a bagged afe filter. .. just saying
You have a 69 road Runner? I officially hate you! Fortunate *******, nice.Since it only damaged the hood and and not structure I dont think a claim would be worth it plus if i make a claim and another tree takes out my Roadrunner or Cuda, one of my other toys before I can cut they will say to bad. 1969 Roadruuner is harder to replace.

That’s why I said a “ Bagged” lots of the “ Aftermarket Filter “ companies make a “Wicking bag”/ cover that goes over the filter to keep water from getting in. On previous vehicles where I had a exposed air filter I ran a piece of pantyhose untill I got a bag. On my previous quads “ I can’t remember the name of the company but they actually made air box lids that had a “ Filter like material that was supposed to filter out sand and water and they workerd great as they snapped in place of the factory lid but it had 4 big squares of breathable material to let more air in. I wouldn’t run the K&N filter and I would go with a “Bagged afe filter”. Plus you can measure the K&N box and get the biggest size filter you can shove in there.
