Took the truck into the dealership last week for one of my contracted oil/filter changes, at 35,959 miles, and asked them to listen to engine for any signs of lifter noise or exhaust leaks. Both were pronounced healthy but at least I have the concerns noted on a service order. There’s a touch more noise than when it was first new, but it’s a lot quieter than the hemi in my son’s Jeep.

It’s been an awesome truck so far—comfortable, good mileage, and while I haven’t pulled heavy with it yet it has admirably handled all the smaller trailers I’ve tied on. And not a single warranty issue to date-hope it stays that way for the future!

DG

Your bumper to bumper warranty may be gone now but your powertrain warranty is 5 year / 100, 000 miles so keep an ear on those noises.

You could also still get the extended warranty if you wanted that, I think up to 4 yrs/48k miles.

Like the rest have mentioned. You are still covered under your power train warranty. As far as bumper to bumper, I recently picked up Chrysler's Max Care for my 16 sport. They have several different mileage/time options. Although they discontinued their lifetime plan again in November, I picked up their 7 year / unlimited mileage plan. I primarily drive the truck everywhere so it made sense for me. They also have an 8 year / 125k plan for those who don't drive a lot. In order to get into any of these plans your truck has to have less than 48k miles. I jumped in at 46k.

I googled it before that reply and it said 5/100k miles, and we know that everything on the internet is true...
That said I didn't read the whole thing.. so you are correct, the 100k was for the ecodiesel...

Sep 1, 2015 - The 2016 Ram 1500 is backed with a five-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty on the EcoDiesel and five- year/60,000-mile on gas engines. The powertrain limited warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor needed to repair a covered powertrain component – engine, transmission and drive system.
