Transmissions are not my strong suit, I'll be the first to admit, but have you tested or recently replaced your TPS sensor?

+1 for TV cable. I know mine will run all the way out to the rev limiter if I have it WOT...so I lift to make it shift.

if that don't work......shift solenoid, govt pressure solenoid is in your future

I already replaced those two sensors... like 200 miles ago... i tried doing the tv adjustment but theres too much slack in the cable so adjusting it doesnt do much

Sounds like your TV cable needs to be loosened just a tad.

loosened? should i just keep trying new adjustments until it works?

So far i've done a band adjustment, a tv adjustment, two fluid exchanges, one filter replacement, governor pressure sensor and solenoid replacement, and an output speed sensor replacement.... You seem rather knowledgeable, why would the limiter not work? and the actual throttle cable is a bit loose is there a way to tighten that? maybe the throttle and the tv cable need to be matched?

You have done all that work and it still does not shift at wot, and the fact it was driven without the spring off the tv cable tells me its time for a rebuild.

Is it slipping at all? How is it shifting under light throttle? What speed does it shift into OD and lock up at?
