I don't know much about aus based oil brands, any of the top oils would be an equally good choice to add lubegard to.

Wild horses couldn't drag it out of me!Where is everyone getting their RP filters and RL from these days?
To be serious, Amazon and eBay mostly. I sure hope this stuff has good shelf life, cuz I've got RL 0w20, 0w30, 5w20, 5w30, and now a case of 5w40 all on hand (thanks Burla!) If I play chemist and mix these together, I sure hope it doesn't start a fire or somethin'!Wild horses couldn't drag it out of me!

no shelf life limit on redline per dave. However, I do wonder if he meant professional series as well, if so that is completely suspect. I have used 15 year old redline and you can see any difference but a tad more white additive fallout on bottom of container. If your redline is very old before putting it in truck, I would drop the container in some warm water and shake, especially guys in snow areas. Mineral oils spoil, I have smelt that stuff more then once, this doesnt happen with redline hp.@Burla can you post what Dave said about shelf life?
I have mine marked what date I bought it and I use the oldest bottles first. The older ones do have a slightly cloudiness to them but it doesn't seem to take away from the performance of the oil.no shelf life limit on redline per dave. Royal Purple filters, I have zero doubt the media will outlive any human from the incidental test I did in the wife's truck, how cool was that for the knowledge on this? However, they don't have stainless cap material, so lifespan on a rp filter will largely be how it is stored to avoid rust and keep o ring from drying out. I am year 5-6 on over 20 rp filters and have pulled them to inspect 3 mos ago, all is well, I store in home closet with magic lube on oring. If I lived in humid area I would take additional measures, maybe store in an insulated box.
I find myself wishing that it was only a dream for me. Sadly for some of us, it is a reality.I been reading way too many of these threads about the tick. I actually had a dream last night that I popped my hood to listen to the engine and it was ticking real bad (but only on the driver's side)- It was so distressing that it actually woke me up! Am I glad it was only a dream...I hope...
David from High Performance Lubricants was offering to send me some oil. I just have to pay for the freight.Maybe a good opportunity to put High Performance Lubricants to the test?
Hes an awesome guy aint he? Take him up on that offer!David from High Performance Lubricants was offering to send me some oil. I just have to pay for the freight.
I said that I already bought RL to use after the rebuild. I may take him up on the offer later on.
That he is.. I will certainly take him up on that offer. Its just that I bought RL oil already to be used after the lifters are changed and rebuild is done.Hes an awesome guy aint he? Take him up on that offer!
Zddp is less but moly is quite a bit moreThat he is.. I will certainly take him up on that offer. Its just that I bought RL oil already to be used after the lifters are changed and rebuild is done.
Looking at the specs, very close to Redline 5W30... if the moly and zddm ppm is about the same or better than Redline, I guess we have a winner for a Redline alternative. Sadly, this version of HPL isn't readily available here in Dubai. I would be looking to get some Redline 5w40 shipped over and may take David up on the offer while I'm at it.

For reference:
Hpl euro 5w30 would be a good one for @Hemi395 to try or supercar 5w40. Or we could put the moly vs ester debate to bed and @Hemi395 could come get some delvac 1 5w40 from 2003 in there from da up. Base oil is 75% pao 25% ester and no moly. 150 boron, 1500 zinc and 1300 phosphorus and a 12 tbn!!!I'll paypal you your first $25 if you want to try HPL Euro 5w-30 next. Maybe someone else here would be willing to help fund a test too.
Your truck should be bought by the ram forum for scientific testing. It's literally perfect. Hey hemi, how do you like these apples? Yes? No? Ok lets try the next one.
