I know a few if you have got the cat less y pipe installed. I’m considering this as my next upgrade. I already have every other bolt on and tuned by Greene racing.
How do you like the y pipe? What difference could you notice? And how loud is it?

Honestly, If I would do it again, I would get cats. I have long tube arh with catless and its quite loud for the average joe. Now I need to figure out how to quiet it down and get rid of the obnoxious "whrap" that is has.

Im no hardcore drag racing expert here but, bolt ons does not require the openess of catless exhaust, hi flow cats now days flow at a incredible amount and bolt ons is not pushing more out then what they flow. If your after that extra loudness then go catless but if its simply performance HF cats are gunna do nothing except help keep the stink down a hair and muffle down the db a hair... thats pretty much it.
If you got future plans of forced air, then go catless

I have the AFE catless y pipe on my bolt on truck w/ stock manifolds & 18" Magnaflow. The catless y pipe absolutely picked up power over the stock y pipe. I went from 12.66 @ 106 w/ the stock cats & high flow y pipe installed in the place of the factory crushed y pipe to a 12.54 @ 107 w/ the AFE y pipe installed. Both passes were in about the same weather & same da. The extra power is very noticeable on the street also. I dd the truck 100 miles a day & found it picked up power everywhere in the rpms.

I highly recommend the AFE catless y pipe. Its $450, very easy to install & clears everything

If noise is an issuse install a bigger muffler
